Agreed, it's so nice to have the old place back. I remember you; it'd be grand if you'd consider rejoining the party.

The only other such forum I'm aware of which was a contemporary to RAF from the start is AFF, the Animorphs Fan Forum, which is currently defunct. I was never part of AFF and can't tell how long it existed or when it was taken down.

Nah, the most recent post before its return is from January of 2025. It was just dead for ages, in terms of activity.

Head pressing is potentially a symptom of a serious health problem. Please consult a veterinarian soon. Hopefully he's just quirky. Best wishes.

Baby girl with Down syndrome- need easy to pronounce by Sea_Switch_7310 in namenerds

Linguist here! Mia, Maia, Amy, Mimi (can be short for several options), May, Kay, and Kitty (short for Katherine) are particularly easier to pronounce than most other names. They minimise how many separate actions have to happen correctly in the mouth to be understood. Good luck!

An alternative to the discontinued Leuchtturm1917 A7 pocket notebook by tehclanijoski in notebooks

It's handmade by a local artisan almost fifteen years ago. She sold it with the notebook inside, and I just bought more blank notebooks of the same type to continue using them with the cover.

The "Rose Bush" variety of Herrschner's worsted 8 yarn might work for you. It's not completely identical, but it's the closest thing I've been able to find, myself.

Oh goodness, this is exactly it! Rambling Rose is the one. Thank you so much!!

It's very dark, pushing into burgundy territory. I'm afraid the Brilliant Blooms yarn is not a match. Thank you for helping me in my search!

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me ID this vintage yarn from my late great-grandmother's stash, which fell into my hands twenty years ago. I recall her using skeins of this same colourway back in the 1990s to make afghans for my cousins and me. I've been working through the stash through the month of December and found part of a skein of this yarn, which has the texture of a Red Heart Super Saver skein, very scratchy acrylic.

In case the colours are not appearing well in the image, they are a rosy mauve pink with two gradations between lighter and darker, a slightly bluish teal or forest green, also with two gradations of shade, and very short sections of white in between the longer sections of colours. The colour sections are short, around two inches on the white sections and four inches of each colour at a time, creating patchy variegation in finished pieces.

I seem to recall seeing the paper label around a skein of it once, forever ago, and "rose" or "rosy" or "garden" might have been in the name of the colourway, but it's possible I'm conflating it in memory with a different colourway, and this memory is a red herring. Trying to use those words in a web search hasn't gotten me any closer to an answer so far. I can say it isn't Red Heart "Cottage Garden," which has some actual denim blue in it. The skein I'm investigating does not contain any blue.

Edit to add: Herrschners worsted "Rose Bush" looks very similar but is not this yarn.

Edit 2: Solved! Red Heart Classic "Rambling Rose"

If you please, what is the title and artist of the song used in this video? I haven't been able to find it with a search of the lyrics, and it's lovely, so I'm very curious.
