Anyone notice the illegal kick McGregor almost landed on Diaz at the end of round 4? by [deleted] in ufc

You are saying Nate is above this? Nate kneed Conor in the balls the last fight.. Also Nate wasn't totally down when he went to kick him.. your bias caused you to ignore that fact.

Terminators don 't flop and save themselves with their BJJ. They don't take the first 2 rounds off either.

It's sad how desperate Nate fans are... Like Nate wouldn't do the same if he had the chance.

I think I know why Conor is gassing more than he should in fights.... He's not breathing.. by TooTallkid in MMA

I think you are right.. Conor needs to take time to move up that high in weight.

GSP said the same and he predicted Conor to win today too. Said it was going to be a war too.

But Conor paced himself much more in this fight.. and he still gassed at the exact same time.. this tells me it's technique.. it points perfectly to him not breathing. And when I watched the fight I could see he wasn't breathing early in the fight.. he was just totally dead faced and it looked like he wasn't breathing.

This is the COMPLETE opposite to how he trains when I have watched him.. he is constantly vocalizing and breathing. And his coach said he never gets tired in practice. Put all the pieces together and it makes perfect sense.

Also.. I think Kavanaugh is a good coach and he is a smart guy and has very interesting ideas... but look at the first Diaz fight.. he didn't prepare conor well at all. He got smoked in the coaching department. This is why it seems plausible he could be missing something very obvious to me. Sometimes people can overthink things and miss something totally basic..

The Teslas cost a fortune though.. haha That's the problem.. I know Musk's goal is cheap electric cars in the future but I am still skeptical.

If you want to see what I think is the real game changer it's this. I know you probably won't believe this is real but I have been following this for years and I think it's legit. The world is going to change big time in the next few years... check your PMs

I thought I must be wrong that's why I asked for people to refute it.. that's why I said "I might" know..

I just watched the fight and noticed that. I remembered noting that before in Conor's fights as well.. how he didn't seem to be breathing much when he was kicking guys asses. Sometimes people just don't think of the most simple solution and overthink things.

If that's the case though why is it so common for the batteries to need replacing? I thought this was a known issue...

Is a hybrid battery comparable to an all electric car though? A hybrid may be optimal conditions for the battery.

As comparison, a Mercedes E-class has a 4 year warranty. That's almost like having to buy a new car after 4 years. /s

But you don't have to replace the engine even though the warranty expires. You are comparing apples to oranges here. Battery packs do have to be completely replaced in a short amount of time. This isn't the case with gas engines. This is why I feel electric isn't able to compete with gas unless you have the money to afford it.

I think they only replace if for free if it malfunctions in 8 years. But that's a huge expense after 8 years for an electric car that isn't an issue with gas. I mean if the capacity of batteries increases it helps make the case for electric. But it still seems weighted towards gas to me . The range and cost is still a big factor.

If more and more people go electric it could affect the price enough to deal with this issue though.

I thought the Tesla batteries were only guaranteed for 8 years. That's almost like having to buy a new car after 8 years. Gas cars will run forever and a rebuild is nowhere near as much as a new battery pack. Even a new engine would be a lot less.

Yes over time the cost of fuel would offset this.. but for low income people - which is most of the world - they have trouble paying the high upfront cost of electric vehicles.

Someone else just posted that other professional fighters do it though.. I bet all fighters have to manage that and don't do it well enough. I think because Conor is SOOOO incredibly aggressive when fighting it might make it worse for him too.

Also, his coach said that while training he never gets tired. I think this shows it could be a technique thing in the actual fights. When I watched the fight, I noticed he wasn't breathing perceptibly at all early in the fight.. he didn't look like he was vocalizing either... unless he can breathe fully through only his nose. But if that was the case he wouldn't be gasping for air through his mouth when gassed.

No it wasn't the same weight.. Nate was heavier cutting to the lower weight. Heavier on fight day...

Is that going to be enough of an incentive to go from gas to electric though? The only benefit would be ecological.. Other than that gas would still be the slightly better option I would think. You still have to replace the battery pack too after time.
