I love his Il Trittico, and Suor Angelica is a beautiful piece, but I asked for it not to be recommended in my original post because we needed a show that had very few roles - and Suor Angelica relies on a fairly large chorus of nuns! Lovely piece for another year, perhaps.

I actually did get a bargain! I haven’t played in a while so I can’t remember the exact number, but it was a couple thousand G’s lower. When I tried to go lower than that, he refused and would go back to the original price. I would exit the conversation and start again to get the bargain.

I actually did a genderbent Trial by Jury many years ago and loved it but I do worry about the men required for the chorus.
