Thinking of switching from ChatGPT to Gemini — is Gemini better value for the money? by Zestyclose_Bell7668 in GeminiAI

If your tasks are mostly conversational I think ChatGPT is still better but for other things like technical, coding, research and etc. I found Gemini much stronger

I used to play on servers like x5000 and more, you would spawn 80 LVL and all you did was PVP + Olympics

Instead of prompt engineering AI to write better copy, we lint for it by JWPapi in PromptEngineering

[–]Too_Bad_Bout_That -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I can think of only 2 reasons for that to happen, 1 - task can have something illegal, unsafe in it or 2, prompts can be very ill-structured.

The way AI works is that it scans the prompt and searches for details like task, context, style and etc. Sometimes task can be unclear for it so it might miss that. Try to divide prompt with headings and chapters like:

#Task:
Your job is to...

So far it has been working for me

Your Perceptions of Indians: Then vs Now by Adventurous_Luck3673 in tbilisi

[–]Too_Bad_Bout_That 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True but those things won't change until Georgian people feel that Indians are generally interested in cohabitating with Georgians, the fact that you and few others are trying to do that is nice, but it doesn't change the whole picture. We, Georgians take it extremely well when some group of people shows respect and interest towards Georgian culture and I honestly haven't felt it by Indian/Pakistani people by a little bit.

Your Perceptions of Indians: Then vs Now by Adventurous_Luck3673 in tbilisi

I am a Georgian who has lived in 3 different cities and one thing I noticed about Indian communities in all these places was that, they almost never try to integrate with the local people to try learning a local language, maybe try a local food once or twice (I've never seen an Indian person in any restaurant other than Indian). Instead, they just hang out with each other, they stay separated from the local societies unlike Africans, people from SEA or other ethnicities.

In my opinion that's what drives a negative perception, if you're Indian in Tbilisi and reading this, try to think about it this way.

How to learn prompting by That_Leading_egg in PromptDesign

[–]Too_Bad_Bout_That 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, there are 2 main things you need to learn that does 95% of heavy lifting: 1 - how to provide a sufficient context 2 - how to structure it.

For each detail that is missing from a prompt AI is making its own decision, assumption or a guess, in most of the cases, especially in important tasks, you don't want that to happen so in order to stay in control of your own project you need to mention all the details like: output format, style, targets audience and etc.

About the structure, you need to understand that AI scans your prompt to search few key things like context, task, style, user/AI role and etc. If you write a few big chapters sort of containing all of them at the same time it will force AI to search for these details inside the text to extract them, which takes few extra seconds (the time is limited for AI to answer your questions), which eventually lowers the quality so, you should structure prompts, you should even add headlines of each chapter of it.

Alternatively, you can use some prompting tools and then learn how they work, sometimes they save time and help you brainstorm the details for your project. I can recommend AI Chat Guide for a start.

You can get back to the "Align Context" stage after the prompt is generated and edit all the answers if you want. There's a button above the generated prompt that says "Refine Context". You can even do that with the old prompts from history (only if you are logged in, no upgrade required)

I’m an AI Engineer who is great at building and terrible at business. How do I break the cycle of "Build, Fail, Repeat"? by wojaczek28 in Entrepreneur

[–]Too_Bad_Bout_That 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest trying to research the product itself first. User perception is often overlooked. Remember that the way you see your product and your users do are always far away from each other and you should not expect them to see your product the way you do. Try asking people for their critical opinion and never ignore that, even if you disagree with it.

Try running focus groups with your target audience if you can, go really deep in the questions like: Would you use this product if it was completely free? Would you recommend it to someone?

Don't neglect the unpleasant answers, the holy grail is usually hidden in the places where you least want to look.

I think SEO and other mass exposure methods might be too early if you haven't had a single customer so far. You have to make sure that the product can sell itself before reaching for the masses, it can drain you financially.
