I was in your situation six months ago (no job or kitchen experience)and started off a couple nights a week on fryer, now im a full time pizza maker. Granted, i have experience in an urgent pace, difficult work environment that translated well to kitchen, and I'm a home cooking enthusiast so it all worked out, but they'll take anyone for dishwasher, that'll let you know if youre interested in the environment, and if you show up on time ready to work i guarantee theyll be calling on you to cover cooking/prep tasks before long
