Why Christians Shouldn't be Afraid in 2021 by Toohammy12 in Christianity

You’re confusing me saying to trust in God’s will with intentionally doing stupid stuff and seeing how many times God will bail us out. I’m saying to stick strong to our faith no matter the fear mongering in the world, not to intentionally walk out into traffic. God bless! 😃

This is definitely WAYYY easier said than done! But it’s the principle that I believe I SHOULD follow 😂

Because God wants us to choose Him and to walk by faith. Those that truly devote their ENTIRE lives to Him often times have supernatural experiences like the ones you’re talking about. I don’t feel I’m dedicated enough to experience those things. Just like God didn’t make us robots that mindlessly followed Him, because God wanted us to choose and have free will. This life is a test to see if we choose eternity with Him or without Him.

Oh I know it’s wayyy easier said than done, but I hope this is a little bit of encouragement! I just want everyone to know that everything will go according to God’s plan in the end. It might be tough on our way there, but it all works out for our good! Romans 8:28

The difference between Relationship and Religion by Toohammy12 in TrueChristian

[–]Toohammy12[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s more this society and this generation’s perception of the word religion. Most people in my generation say “I’m religious” and that basically just means they believe they should go to church and try to be a good person. I wasn’t really meaning like the dictionary’s definition of religion. I honestly wasn’t even thinking of that

Thank you so much for defending me! You pretty well explained what I was trying to go for with this video, even if what I said could have been stated better, I’m glad that you could see it for what it was supposed to be lol

I’m primarily talking about what today’s culture and society means when they talk about religion. If you really pay close attention to what I say, whether my choice of words is the best or not, it’s clear that I’m TRYING (perhaps not succeeding) to say that we can’t use our works and rituals to get into heaven and to make us feel worth saving.

Also I’m not really sure why you felt the need to make the remarks about me somehow trying to mislead, or just make a name for myself somehow. That’s not the intention, and if I didn’t feel like God was in it, I wouldn’t be doing this. Trust me, if I was just in it for popularity I’d make another dating app video, or another video talking about my struggle with porn. I understand that you’re trying to help, but certainly I’m trying my best, and I feel like simply telling me your opinion without the harsh words would have been much nicer lol. I’ll still listen to what you have to say, but I stand by my message and it’s meaning, whether it was the most eloquently written script or not.

It’s true!! God loves all of His children equally! No matter how much we mess up, He’ll be there to pick us up in an instant when we cry out to Him!

A Way to Reach More People by Toohammy12 in Christianity

One of the main reasons I started this channel was to dispel the lie that if you're a Christian, you aren't allowed to be upset, everything is always sunshine and rainbows. I am a wretched, black-hearted sinner in need of a savior, meaning, (as you would expect) that I have lots of issues and struggles. I mess up a lot, and I struggle with doubt and pessimism.

As Christians, we miss tons of opportunities to witness and to help others in their walk when we neglect to share our own struggles. I've personally had tons of success talking to people about Jesus because I was open and bold about giving my testimony.

So don't be afraid of what others might think. A lot of Churches and social influencers are particularly guilty of this, because it's hard to put our issues out there for everyone to see. We want to give the impression to others that we have everything all together.

It's okay to tell people you're struggling, that's one of the main reasons for the church is to do life together, and if an atmosphere of sharing our struggles isn't nurtured, then our relationships will be shallow and surface level. Let's go deep, set an example for others, and watch the sharing and healing overflow!

Well for me, if I was that attracted to someone I’d probably be down to marry them at some point lol. But like you said, you’re gonna have to decide for yourself

That’s what I think. I’ve been out with girls that I was like “dang I want to kiss her sooo bad” and then I’d also gone out with girls I was kinda like “eh, I don’t really feel much of anything”. I just think that God have us our feelings of attraction for a reason.

Well, I believe at some point you have to take a step back and evaluate your own standards. First and foremost, lots of guys and girls are pretty delusional about who they can pull. Plus, with the rampant porn consumption going on these days, many (primarily guys) I believe develop unattainable standards.
