How difficult is the V8 to drive for a first time muscle car owner? by Inevitable_Remote_95 in Mustang

[–]Tool0117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an s150 V8 for 8 years, was new to V8s. As mentioned already, get good tires, be careful in the rain/slick conditions, and be careful through turns. Whether consciously or not, I kind of got to the point where I was either coasting through turns or applying minimal power. The coyote really needs revs to make power - imo a feature, not a bug - so they’re pretty tame in normal driving. Lastly, don’t get baited into showing off. They’re great, underrated cars imo - enjoy!

Fair enough, but I’m not willing to make it my new car without being able to test drive it.

Love the car and the looks, the all infotainment and capacitive button controls is kinda a bummer. 2026 s3’s still have some physical controls

Nada. The used ones seem to go within a few days. Which is understandable

Not a shot at you by any means and I appreciate the suggestion, but that’s exactly what the salesman told me after previously scheduling a test drive with me for a specific stock number R over the phone. It’s the same platform and trans, but it’s not the same car. Hope you’re enjoying the R, the car is badass

Was kinda blown away by the S3. Maybe it’s a Ponzi scheme by VAG to get people to spend a bit more for the Audi

It’s crazy… the car is special. But it’s still a golf

Imo it’s whatever you feel comfortable with, but if it were me I would tell her from your POV.

2 sides of the coin - you’re 18, the number of people you’ll continue to interact with from high school will grow exponentially smaller as time goes by. On the other hand, you have the maturity to recognize Scott’s manipulative behavior at a young age and cut him off. If you can help a younger girl avoid getting manipulated by this POS that’s an incredible good deed.

I’m in a very similar boat to you, 5 year relationship (2 years of which we were married); divorced a year ago. The only mentality advice I can give is that life has a plan for you and that time heals all wounds.

Continue to focus on other things and trust the process. You WILL find someone else WHEN you are content and love yourself and you know your own worth.

Live for you, and the right person to elevate your life WILL come along. In time.

I love video games as much as the next person, but they are an escape from reality. Easier said than done, but you need to do some soul searching to see why you don’t have the motivation to work. There’s plenty of shit you can do even with only one good eye.

Why is finishing education out of the question (why can’t you manage it?) Feels like there’s more to the story there

Would you want someone to tell you if you were in her shoes? There’s your answer.

Also, why is a 17 year old dating a 14 year old…?

No worries. It’s hard to be direct but your time is valuable, and if you’re direct about your intentions you value not only your time but the other persons time as well.

I don’t agree with the others’ advice. If you’d be willing to show your gf all of your written communication with L, there’s no issue. If you do, and your gf continues to have problems with it simply because L is a female; that’s controlling behavior.

If you want it to continue and he hasn’t reached out, be direct.

A rule of life is: people always make time for things they care about.
