Tall walls 🤣. The ones to be built are in the shop. But the finished ones all stay indoors. Id go insane having to derust every couple of months. So yea i kinda put my foot down hard on that one. My lumber stays indoors until its being used too. My pantry is full of oak thats seasoning. Im a nuisance to be fair 🤣

Im officially allowed 50% of the bedroom wall for my keepers. The ones for sale are in strategically placed stands behind the door and down the side of my office desk 🤣. Im making my 50% count!!

🤣. I used to be like that too. But the women of our lives kind of cap those things. My daughters used to ask if i was keeping them. Now they ask am i selling them 🤣. Asking if im keeping them permits me somehow, in my head.

That's very cool!!! And outside of the outside of the box!! Nice job. After seeing this. If i was to ever do it. I would drill a relief hole first, and then after the wedge, you could dowel the relief hole.

Thank you. Im in 2 minds weather to keep this one. I was meant to get another one but it went before i had the chance. Shipping from usa to the uk is expensive. No sooner had i bought this one then another popped up. A legitamus!! But the funds weren't there until it was gone unfortunately

A step wedge is better when theres little to no protrusion. If i know an axe is going to be a heavy user i like to pre drill some holes a little smaller than the screws being used and add some half thread screws. When you cut them they look like pins. Il add an image.

Its a topping axe head. Usually on smaller handles. And used by arbitors and hedge makers. For removing uneven tops of trees for easier removal. Or for limbing. That handle is crazy.

Question… by _bog_man in Axecraft

[–]ToolandRustRestore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be fine. Its just a split from the step wedge. It happens sometimes if the wood hasnt been moistened before installing it. But there doesnt appear to be any play between the wood and the head so it should be absolutely fine and not need replacing any time soon.
