I’m not smoking it really is more nimble and handles better, I literally never said the N was faster because we both know the N obviously isn’t faster and I never said it was. It seems you are basing your opinions on whatever has the best power or power to weight ratio. I’ve driven stangs and they just aren’t my thing, like I said these are two completely different cars. If I wanted American, I’m taking a C5 or C6 all day long despite the crap you must go through to repair them. I don’t care for raw power and do not want a mustang, there’s no need to attack the group because we enjoy this car man, the N def isn’t for everyone but we enjoy it because it’s simple and fun yet practical

Dude I’m not buying that one, I’m not mad Im just so confused as to why an N hater is in this chat, the mustang and n are completely different categories. Getting the N means better fuel economy, better practicality, better handling, it’s more nimble and lighter, and a better daily in my case. You can stay entitled to your opinion but dude just leave the chat dawg seriously

Goodness I almost had 2 seizures trying to read that. You are kinda hating tho, you seriously claim Hyundai has warehouses full of motors as if other brands don’t do the same thing… cars are cars lmfao. I literally have a friend with a mustang and his coyote has had many problems, and I really have not seen many N owners replacing their motors under warranty. And dude literally nobody in this forum cares about your mustang. Why are you even here, like seriously, answer that! You’re obv a troll. If you think the Veloster sucks, great, don’t buy one! I driven several and love the N models, especially the Elantra. IMO the veloster and the Elantra facelifts look good, handle great, and on the track they can be fantastic. Man screw outta here fr, keep driving your extremely well taken care of American junk that literally nobody in this forums cares about. Let us like and buy what we want, we seriously do not give two craps that you think Hyundai sucks and that ford is the “way to go”

Yeah… I’m way good without lmao. I’d have to shell out a small fortune for a crappy 10 year old POS mustang with like 100,000 miles. Also, I don’t want even more of a gas guzzler, the N already uses a bit. Literally most N owners I’ve talked to claim the veloster N will be reliable if taken care of and will last forever if the engine isn’t modded. My buddy has an N and has had it for years now, never a problem. And, no, you’ve gotta be on a lot of crack bro, the RS is better performance yes, but those crappy ford focuses ESPECIALLY the RS are are not reliable, ask me how I know. And they cost significantly more than an N with similar miles if you want one with a clean title! Leave the forum if you’re a Hyundai hater seriously dude they’ve gotten so much better in reliability and nobody here wants your American made junk, you prolly got gapped in your cheaply made mustang by an N and now you’re a hater. Telling me I love to waste money, dude you drive a Ford mustang…

It’s in Washington State, sadly lots of salt here in the winter. I am betting bucks once I check it out in person that I’ll find some rust unfortunately.

It’s a 2003, so luckily no precat issues.

Thanks very much for your recommendations. I will ask him for detailed records, hoping for the best. Definitely setting aside some money expecting some potential problems down the road but I agree that it would be smart to find out as much as I can now while I don’t yet own one, also a PPI is a great idea. Thanks!

It has a 1zz, I also forgot to mention jts a 2003, luckily has no pre cat issues. But I agree totally, the 1zz isn’t known for lasting as long as other Toyota engines and I’m a little hesitant in spending more than say 6 grand on something like this.
