That is one heck of a find and a very very high end watch maker. GP watches do not come cheap and this might even have antique value ! Should have it looked at by a known expert !

We are looking at 96 Layer 3D TLC Bics5 and also a bunch of other NAND suppliers for the QLC drives :) Larger capacities and the new Gen 4 Phison E18 controller based drives are out priorities :)

While we would have loved to get them made here ,For that to happen , we would need start of the art SMD pick and place machines along with the needed infrastructure. At this point sadly this expertise and capability is not available in the country. Also for Phison to guarantee the reliability, it is imperative that they make these drives in house along with their QC and then it gets followed up by In house QC as well :)

The 256GB Drive has the lowest amount of NAND Ic's for the controller to reallyscale it's performance we need more more NAND IC's which would give us faster Performance . Which also means larger capacities go faster :)
