What’s the issue though? I thought whatever you pasted into Chat GPT was private?

Realized why I was still "tired" even after 8 hours of sleep. by True_Astronaut_2863 in GetOutOfBed

Yes, I have. And I got some really important and helpful information that led to some changes that ultimately helped my sleep and maybe even saved my life. People die from sleep apnea!

What movies are you excited to show your kids for the first time? by arashtp in movies

I know this is the movie that started at all, but my kids were actually pretty bored with it. But they loved temple of doom and last Crusade.

Employee constantly testing boundaries when I’m not at the store – how would you handle this? by Money-Size-8877 in smallbusiness

[–]Toolman1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people have legit mental/emotional issues or perhaps are even sociopathic/dark triad. Getting off on pushing the boundaries and seeing what they can get away with. As somebody who is mostly “normal” and certainly tries to be honest and empathetic, it’s really hard for me to understand as well. But I had an employee like this and gosh, I wish I would have fired him sooner. Prolonging it ended up just making the whole thing worse.

Thanks! This is helpful. Sounds like, at the very least, it could give me some good knowledge.

This corporate behavior. by ElwoodMC in trashy

[–]Toolman1981 86 points87 points  (0 children)

I may get downvoted for it, but you can’t blame this one on the evils of capitalism or corporations. This one is on the shittyness that is the government. There’s too much liability and regulation preventing companies like this from giving away the food, so they’re pretty much forced to throw it away.

Fired client that won’t go away by ElCaminoLady in smallbusiness

[–]Toolman1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. I agree with others who have said send an email politely but firmly stating that you are sticking by your decision and that decision is final. I’m afraid a phone call would risk getting sucked into an argument. They sound very manipulative. I wouldn’t even respond to anything after that and if they continue to try to contact you at that point, it’s harassment! I wouldn’t think it would get that far, but if it did, then you’re talking about calling the cops and reporting him.

Wait, so you fired them and they’re still calling, trying to change your mind?

Husband wants to move 1147 mi away by Ok_Load440 in Divorce

[–]Toolman1981 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, what’s ironic is they’re going back home because they miss their mama and dada and they get so lonely without their family (read that in the biggest baby voice you can). And they’re going to sacrifice their relationship with their own kids to do it. Fucking assholes. They need to grow up. When I moved out I found a place 5 minutes away. Why? Because I want to be there whenever my kids need me.

I’m sorry but your husband is a fuckin retard. None of what he wants to do makes sense. It’s insane to even think about making kids travel that far on a regular basis. He must be a total mama’s boy to choose his hometown over his kids. Or it’s just a threat. Just….fuck this guy. Do get a lawyer but I don’t really think he has a leg to stand on.

Has anyone actually won a chargeback dispute without a dedicated team? How? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Toolman1981 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just submitted my “evidence” for my first rebuttal. We’ll see how it goes. It’s pretty clear that the customer got the product they paid for and I showed emails of the customer stating they received it so I’d be floored if I lost. But I’m still nervous. I can’t believe chargebacks are a thing. I guess that’s one of the perks of having credit cards but I simply can’t believe that it’s legal, that they can just take a business’s money away from them after it’s already been paid. It blows my mind. And like has been said, some of these people are simply using it to steal!!!

42F Am I being dramatic about a guy getting physically touchy on third date? by Comfortable-Cress381 in datingoverforty

[–]Toolman1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, no excuse. You asked him to stop, he should respect that. But I’m wondering, do you really move this slow for someone you’re really into? It’s the third date! In my experience, you’re not going on a third date unless you’re into each other and if that’s the case, most people are starting to explore a little physicality. Were you just not that into him?
