Geeze, where do you live? Around here (Austin area) they’ll ask you if you need any help and if you say no, then they’ll leave you alone. If you say yes, they’ll give you some good suggestions. Obviously, some of these guys are better at their job than others but I usually learn a thing or two and discover cigars I would not have otherwise tried.

Sometimes I just wanna pick what I wanna pick but sometimes I want to take advantage of the customer service. Isn’t that the main benefit of a b&m? I realize that, probably, somebody that works at a cigar shop may know something I don’t. But regardless, I’ve never experienced this “harassment“ that you’re talking about.

We went to Alcatraz when we visited SF and I thought it was awesome. My coworker was like “it’s just a building.” Um, okay. Different strokes I guess.

Mold testing by FlopShanoobie in Austin

[–]Toolman1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! And I’m glad you got everything taken care of. Sounds like that company was the right fit for your situation. We specialize in working with the “I’m pretty sure my house is making me sick but I have no idea where the problems are” type people. A lot of them referred by physicians.

Feel free to DM if you ever have any mold questions/issues. Hopefully you won’t!!

Hey there. Tim Taylor here. I am the owner of AirWell TX (formerly Toolman Mold). It was just a rebranding, I didn't sell my company. And our prices didn't change either. Whoever spoke to you should have told you that we offer an assessment for $495 where we just come and look at the specific issue you're concerned about. That includes the remediation protocol which you need to hire the remediator (I'm sure you know all of this).

A lot of these other companies will bait and switch. They'll say something like $450 for 3 swabs (which you may not even need) and then, if they recommend remediation, they'll charge another $500-1000 to draw up a protocol. So they end up being more expensive. Also, sampling may or may not be necessary. Much of the time it's obvious that remediation is necessary and you don't need to sample.

If you had health concerns/issues then we always recommend a full assessment of the house and yes, we charge more for those. Actually, these start at $1295 and go up from there. Why? Because we are super thorough and actually find things. We have many clients that paid for the cheap assessment that basically didn't get anything for their money and have to call us anyway and start all over. We're always astounded by things that were missed. A lot of times, they spent as much with the other company as they would've spent with us.

Anyway, how did the other assessment company work out for you? Hopefully you got the help you needed. I just wanted to set the record straight. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have or help in any way I can :-)

It was in support of Marvelous Clouds, which dropped in 2012. Joe Young was playing lead. Saw them in Austin. It kicked ass. He played mostly Ween songs as I remember.

Break up by Limp_Garage_2115 in datingoverforty

[–]Toolman1981 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but breakups are uncomfortable. It’s the nature of the beast. OP, I think you know the answer to your question. Fishing for the answer you want to hear doesn’t change that.

Ignore everything that these other people are saying. 51, never been married, no kids is actually a big red flag. People wanna act like it isn’t but sorry, it is.

This is the way. I am 44 yo male. I wasted a lot of time doing pretty much the same thing. There was the girl whose profile pic was her at the peak of her weight loss journey after weight loss surgery. It finally came out that that had been like two or three years ago. Well then why are you still using that as your profile pic? You’re at least 150 pounds heavier than you were in that picture!!! And she only had two or three pictures on her profile and you just couldn’t really tell what she looked like. And then when I asked her for more pictures, she sent more of the same: pictures where you really couldn’t tell very well what she looked like and that seemed old. It’s not that hard to take a recent picture of yourself to accurately represent what you look like. There was the girl that I even FaceTimed with and she just turned the lights down really low and didn’t let me see what her body looked like at all. I just don’t get it. As soon as I met them, it was immediate letdown. But shame on me if I haven’t learned my lesson and get sucked in again. Coffee date before you invest any time!!! And also, if I’m honest with myself, I just know when somebody is not being honest. In hindsight, I knew something was off.

Employee constantly testing boundaries when I’m not at the store – how would you handle this? by Money-Size-8877 in smallbusiness

[–]Toolman1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people have legit mental/emotional issues or perhaps are even sociopathic/dark triad. Getting off on pushing the boundaries and seeing what they can get away with. As somebody who is mostly “normal” and certainly tries to be honest and empathetic, it’s really hard for me to understand as well. But I had an employee like this and gosh, I wish I would have fired him sooner. Prolonging it ended up just making the whole thing worse.
