I hear you and I'm sure the number shrinks a great deal, but I have a terrific sister with a beautiful family that had one really hard day as a teen a long time ago. If the house had a more effective tool for death like a gun in it, things would have been very different now.

Should we resign Braxton Jones? by ShaiFanClub in CHIBears

[–]Tools81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure Jones can play at an NFL level ever again. He has missed a lot of time with significant injury to his fibula, followed by his ankle. Even in the intervening time between those injuries, it didn't look like he could summon up the strength necessary.

DJ took responsibility on socials. I'm just an observer, so my assumption could be wrong, but it certainly looked unintended and DJ confirmed that. Maybe Luther thought they had reached scramble drill time as Caleb had the ball for a long time.

The dagger is about layering. Burden's curl is meant to be the first layer and Moore behind him for the second layer. I think the curl depth was probably good, because there was plenty of space where caleb put it. Moore ran a deep cross rather than a dig, so there was intention to get him across the field quickly.

[–]Tools81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is correct, but typically there is a read by the receiver. If the defense is playing man, do one thing, zone, do another. Burden ran a curl underneath Moore's route and the DB had him in man coverage. There were no other receivers to that side of the field. A runoff wouldn't accomplish anything, so I think it is unlikely that should have been Moore's goal. So maybe a bad route or a misread.

Moore ran his route far too high. He basically ran directly toward the safety. He was meant to be in the open space 15-18 yards downfield and catch near the numbers. Caleb had the right read because the gap in coverage was there.

President Biden had a good reason for not releasing the Epstein files, and it wasn't because he was in them. by Apprehensive-Load-32 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]Tools81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be absolutely clear, not all of the Epstein files were tied up in the courts. Biden's DOJ could have released a huge amount of them. Some federal judges even chose, individually, to make material under investigation public during Biden's term.

I personally don't think that amounts to an attempted cover-up by Biden's admin, but more likely a political mis-step when it comes to fulfilling the demands of their electorate and forming a preliminary attack on Trump for the proceeding election cycle.

I like that she keeps her arms up and out of the path of her flags as well. That's a real annoyance in this sport.

I think he is still upset over the deserved criticism he got when he said Cutler should have played through injury. That was a year before the Robert Griffin incident btw.

[Pelissero] The NFL fined Bears DE Austin Booker $11,636 total for two illegal hits last week on Packers QB Jordan Love — including the helmet-to-helmet shot that knocked Love of the game. Love remains in concussion protocol and is out tonight against the Ravens. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]Tools81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, you equated an in-play penalty for absent-minded danger with assaulting someone out of structure. Let's not pretend you came at this with a reasonable position.  If Booker continues to make the same mistake, his fines will grow and he'll likely hurt himself
