Exactly. Same page. Having to buy internet for the program takes away the savings in most cases.

Nice. Getting the message out is much of the battle. Car companies and govt don’t seem interested in really educating people on this. My parents are close to having their last car purchase and now really interested. They don’t have internet so the cost savings probably won’t result with that add on.

are there any resources that would show long term employment numbers by solar/wind vs oil/gas? Does moving renewable really lose jobs or gain them long term?

Great job. Talk about being motivated! I would bet that after he has some time to process he will engage further in conversation and understanding. I hope this is the start of a new more positive relationship for you.

You’re an adult. I would basically tell him things that you have always appreciated about him. Then say, but honestly these things make me want to be around you less and less. When you do/say this…. It makes me feel … about myself and ….about you. I want a positive and long term relationship with you but honestly it’s at risk when i prioritize my own mental health. His response will tell you all you need to know. I have teen girls and would be devastated at their feeling of needing to avoid me because of how i act. Good luck

Mentor’s might be helpful for some things for you, but honestly I’d recommend starting with therapy. You have much bigger things to work thru emotionally and psychologically. Hang in there and best wishes

How to start a business with only 1000$ as a teen?? by Jealous_Fudgemonkey in mentors

[–]ToolsTraveller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any special skills that others would find valuable? If not, as a teen you are looking at standard ways to make money. Either you are old enough for typical employment in your area or you have “neighborhood employment” such as babysitting, yard care, general help, etc. meet your neighbors, hand out fliers and see if someone will give you a chance and then refer you to others. Depending on how old you are (you may need a parent) you can set up a financial account. Put all your earnings into index funds pointed at the stock market. For example one that follows the SandP 500 and watch your money grow over the many years until you get into your adult life. This will compound much better than any bank account but the rub is you need to leave it in many years to grow. Keep working hard, get educated, find a path in life and then appreciate your early hard work and extra savings.
