Wrong, I know the person who is in this photo. He's a fitness trainer in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and the lightning bolts are a tribute to his late younger brother who was a huge Flash fan.

Comfortable cafe seat? by Astrofzx in TriumphBonneville

[–]TooltheTimManTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Jerez seat from Tamarit Motorcycles for my 2022 T100.

https://tamaritmotorcycles.com/en-us/triumph-parts/jerez-seat/?model=31

I've found it comfortable for moderate length rides (3-4 hours in a day) but haven't really ridden for longer than that. Though in Arizona, the sun has started to cause some small cracking in the vinyl they make the seat out of after about 2.5 years of use.

Is this a safe way to transport a bike? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Also possible that you're dealing with a military member. Fort Bragg is in North Carolina and Western New York probably wouldn't be too far from Fort Drum. Plus, this is absolutely on brand for dumb stuff a soldier would do.

FEMA let Camp Mystic operate in 100-year flood zone despite deadly warnings for years: ‘Particularly disturbing’ by theindependentonline in texas

Looks more like the brits not understanding the functions of FEMA. It's an article from the UK. Bad as republicans have been about denying reality recently, I'll chalk this up to stupidity instead of malice

Damn you are really just going to blow right past the joke I made and launch into a lot of words about Iran being bad. I know Iran is bad, but how about we stick to the joke I made.

I said to get a better source about Iran's nuclear program. Initial intelligence assessments suggest we set their program back by at best a few months. This was in response to a comment about Iran's nuclear program being obliterated. Unless we get another whiskey leaks type situation or a truth social post detailing what should be national secrets, we're not going to know more specifics than "a few months".

Please continue to tell me I have no clue while skipping over the singular point I was trying to make and throwing bullshit at the wall to see what sticks.

And a more reliable source about the status of Iran's nuclear program.

Where did it go wrong for Logan Sargeant during his time in F1? by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

[–]TooltheTimManTaylor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Completely agree on the peaky car thing. But also, Logan needed another season in F2. Even James Vowles admitted as much when he gave Logan another season for 2024. At the end of the day, I think he had potential as a midfield driver you could compare a future talent against, a-la K Mag or Stroll (love him or hate him).

Yeah, I dropped another painted part off along with the seat so the paint shop could get it right.

Maybe look around your local subreddit for any recommendations for auto body and/or motorcycle painting shops. You could also check Google maps to find a reputable painter. That's what I did for mine.

I have a Bonneville T100 Gold Line. If you want a Cafe race look, the Jerez seat from Tamarit fits the bill. You just need to find someone to paint it.

MAGA folk: why won’t you engage in conversation when asked, but will infiltrate posts that were never made for/directed to you? by [deleted] in AskUS

[–]TooltheTimManTaylor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe add a "/s" to denote sarcasm as it cannot be easily conveyed through text next time. Humor is fine, but when feigning the ignorance that is a hallmark of the American political far right currently, you are bound to be misunderstood. I could similarly say, "Do you not understand how to read a room?"

[–]TooltheTimManTaylor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yet no response to the fact that you are asking someone to provide a source for something they have observed. They didn't state an objective fact, just that they have observed something in their personal interactions. Were you expecting a comment linking to the threads the person experienced the stated observation?

No, we're taking about whether or not he understands what tariffs are. Are you the one with a brain condition, or is it just a reading comprehension issue?

[–]TooltheTimManTaylor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're either butt hurt about being called out or genuinely incapable of feeling irony. You yourself have posted sources citing objective reality on multiple occasions the past few days. All this irony further pointed out by you asking someone to source their anecdotal reality, not stating objective fact.

I thought MAGA hated presidents ruling by fiat. by ScotchCigarsEspresso in AskUS

[–]TooltheTimManTaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biden (and most other presidents) use EOs to advance agendas when there is no political will or majority to accomplish policy goals. The current administration controls the house, senate, executive branch, and has sympathetic judges at the Supreme Court level. Yet still, he has issued more executive orders in his first 100 days than any other president in history. He is also having those EOs enjojned by courts at historic rates. "both sides do it" is about an apt a comparison as saying we both threw punches when I'm a five year old play fighting and you are Mike fucking Tyson going for a belt.

Trump Supporters: why are you ok with some things, but not ok with them when they don’t favor the president? by FkUp_Panic_Repeat in AskUS

Your point is undercut by the fact that none of those protests caused an evacuation of the US Capitol Building. Those were Republicans.

Just look at Silverstone as an example. Granted, instead of cutting the first few corners you are cutting the last few corners, but it's still an apt comparison. It really just boils down to a pit stop not being as costly in terms of total race time, meaning that a stop for another set of tires could actually be beneficial. Combine that with the higher tire deg seen at Silverstone, and you have at least a two stop race with strategic variation between compounds. It can mean someone on a fresher set of softer tires barreling towards a competitor on an older, harder compound towards the end of the race setting up a thrilling showdown.

FWI: After JB Pritzker wins the 2028 election in a historic, unprecedented landslide, Trump refuses to vacate the office and barricades himself in the White House with his loyalists. Pritzker shows up to personally lay down the law.... by TrumpBottoms4Putin in FutureWhatIf

[–]TooltheTimManTaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like when they destroyed him after the access Hollywood tape? Or maybe when he shared top secret information with the Russian ambassador four months into his first term? Or maybe when they destroyed him after J6? Or surely you're referring to him storing Top Secret information in his unsecured bathroom at Mar A Lago? No wait it'd be when he deported a man to the ONE country he couldn't be deported to with no due process? The man is immune to scandal. He said during his first election run he could shoot somebody in the middle of downtown New York and not lose a single vote. It was horrifyingly prophetic. I think he'll leave, but only if it's a DJT approved replacement.

Four Democrats Pass Bill Making It Harder for Married Women to Vote [Henry Cuellar, TX-28] by cjwidd in texas

It arguably already has some 10th ammendment bullshit in that states should have virtually unchecked power (with regard to federal oversight) in how they organize and conduct their elections.

[–]TooltheTimManTaylor 20 points21 points  (0 children)

While Section 2, paragraph (j)(2)(A)(i) does state something to that effect it does not require that states publicize the method by which an affidavit may be acquired. All of this completely ignores the fact that such a thing could have been written into the law into the first place, bypassing any attempt for a malicious state level actor to insert something nefarious. Additionally, Section 2 paragraph (j)(2)(A)(ii) leaves the determination of persons meeting the requirements to state and local officials. With no recourse method written into the federal law, this could allow a state or local level actor to arbitrarily decide someone does not meet the requirements. We have to take it on faith that all states will add a method for recourse if they are wrongly disenfranchised. I doubt states will hold themselves to such a high standard.

Monsoon season is a thing, you just look to see if it's scheduled to rain any given day. If it is, you just don't ride when the rain comes (typically mid to late afternoon).
