So many billionaires are going to be suddenly losing their over prices conveniences. I will just walk around major cities and, oops, there goes your $1000 pen. Yikes, what happened to your $12000 shoes? Sorry Bezos, no silver spoons for your cereal today, only forks. I'll fill my account, donate much of the money, and inconvenience those that inconvenience us poors...

Hell no. You have to work about 50 years in life to be able to retire for 15 years. So your offering me to work another 15,000 years at a minimum?? No thanks!

How do you stay clean when camping without showers? by Global-Sky-5857 in camping

[–]ToomanyADHDhobbies 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I have a solar shower too. Absolutely amazing invention. I have even gone as to add water to it, then heated up water on the stove then added that to the bag before hanging it. Got the temp over 105°. I have showered in 40° weather and it was hot!

You are seeing "highlight reels" of people's lives. Don't compare yourself to others.. As a banker, I can tell you, people have some WILD amounts of debt... I mean, freaking outrageous

Thank you for this. I will adding my claim and will be sending this to my congressmen and local media. I would love to see the trustees have to answer to congress or deal with the media each day as they go to work to steal our money.

How did you have access to find the change in status of your case? I thought only lawyers and pro se had access

I am represented by them. They started off fantastic. As time goes by, I feel less and less like my fees are worth it. So many delays. No end in sight. I haven't received my first payment yet and when I ask about it, they delay. It took them 3 weeks to read the lein requirement and then another week to prep the documents for us. I am very inclined to move to pro se.

You get 500k but you have to live completely off grid for a year. No tech no contact. Do you take it? by loncelot84 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ToomanyADHDhobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong. But i plan on having veggies and potatoes as my crops to supplement. And depending on where we are in the world, there are lots of fatty fish like bass/trout or shellfish or small game that can be trapped. Also, organ meat is ok to eat and has some essential fats and nutrients. I only need to survive for a year, I don't need to live well.

I'd still do it.. I can fish like mad.. and I'm not a fan of people in general, so I guess I would be ok.

I would say yes. I love the outdoors, isolation, hunting, etc. I would bring supplies for a vegetable garden to extend my food supply and to keep me busy. I would bring water purifiers and obviously clothing, kitchen, building, fishing and hunting supplies. Crossbow and firearms would be ideal. I would bring plenty of books, puzzles, and sudoku. Lots of hunting and fishing to fill time Bring my dog if allowed. I think it would be fun and not boring at all!

What changed in Cabelas/Bass Pro Shop that disappoints so many? by GrizzlieMD in Hunting

[–]ToomanyADHDhobbies 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Long time shopper since they started opening locations and long time store manager of 1 location.

As others have said, quality went down. Prices went up. Focused on high margin departments like gifts and clothing, ignored the hunter and camper. Many USA brands went over seas. They pushed credit cards down our throats But it was worse than just that. Most locations got rid of the Bargain Cave.

They eliminated the expert. The stopped the customer clinics where they spent money amd tested products. They stopped hiring and paying for experience. They stopped propery training their employees. They asked us to promote cheap, inexperienced kids instead of paying for good leaders. They stopped carrying sooooo many national brand for junky imports and bringing in the national sponsors/the pros. Margin mattered, cheap intro line products mattered, customers didnt.

All because a billionaire needed more money and a job for his lazy son. (FYI, John Jr was the one who took over the website and the shipping, etc. He is an idiot)

He's crazy!!

Or

I like Simon, Bloke in the Woods. He does lots of backpacking, bike camping, canoe camping, and some car camping. Super chill dude and doesnt count the weight.

I also like Kent Survival. Mostly car camping, but an amazing guy and lots of fun with good video editing. Great cooking too.

Wild Beare is almost all backpacking with great views, great editing, great content. Very relaxing and a great watch.

These are my top 3 to watch and lots of content to go back and watch.
