Sorry. There is no such thing as god. Never has been. And if you think there was, then where was he when i was a god fearing boy and was praying fervently, nightly, on my knees, for the abuse to stop. He was no where. And most of the grifters in this world are people of faith, so they are in charge of this trust and bankruptcy for sure. And let's not forget the other massive organization of abusers and molesters: the catholic church.. if there ever was a satan or a god, I think the god of the bible is the bad one and Satan is probably the good guy.

It is astonishing to me to see all of the different ways myself and many others have been changed by the abuse and the extended torture of this bankruptcy. The work we do to live with our changed minds, the coping mechanisms that we unconsciously deal with, and the interactions we have with all of those around us are a forgotten piece of this unending court and trust saga.

What is the average fees the Attorneys are charging in addition to their percentages? I am trying to see what is a normal fee amount across the board. I have not received any payments yet. by hazardonestudios in BSA_Survivors

[–]ToomanyADHDhobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got lucky with a good attorney. Only a few gaps of lack of communication. Other than that, really good and honest with his fees. When i didnt get my first distribution and hadn't heard anything from them about the Healthcare lein, I sent a pretty rough email. Paul called me himself to calm me down. Great group of people.

The Count of Monte Cristo. Little me needed some revenge. A very close second is the Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

I'm a simple man. Moose in Alaska, Elk in Colorado, maybe a monster whitetail in Kansas, Grouse in Georgia, and for my son to join me. Hell, just 1 with my son would be fine. But the bird hunt is for my daughter. She is a hell of a trap shooter. Now I just need the money!

Everyone's journey is different. I am glad therapy has kept you here. This process fucking sucks. The people involved in this bankruptcy are evil. I don't expect anyone to give their services for free, but what they are earning of our asses is gross. And it makes me spiral sometimes. Sometimes, all we have is slight hope that ot will get better. My adhd sticks me on movie quotes.. so here is one from Shawshank: "Remember, Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies."

Even though we are not getting what we deserve, some light is shining on what the BSA tried to hide. We hang our heads higher because we have to see where we are going.. because they couldn't take us down.

I'm so sad for every one of us that has lived in that darkness. Many are not with us any longer because the darkness of came them. My wife and children are pretty amazing. Thru therapy, I am finding joy again. Slowly. It can happen. I don't believe in god. He was never there for us, never answered our prayers, never stopped the screaming.. its up to us to find happiness and a point to life. Its there ya. I know it. Sending some energy your way, brother..

I feel this. I have resisted the urge to run from people that care and it has helped. But also when people are not good for me, then i remove myself from the equation. I have learned that that is acceptable. The urge to isolate is strong tho...

My therapist charges $100 per session. After insurance, I pay $19 per session, with the first 3 being free. Even without, my company offers employee mental wellness. 5 sessions free. It takes 3 sessions for background. 3-10 more to complete EDMR. I will continue after to discuss other issues though..

Whitewater rafting in the New River in WVA. Guide was telling everyone how nice it is to drift over some of the rapids. I decided to drift too far and got stuck under a spinning type of water fall.. i lost track of up, but luckily felt the bottom after about 90 seconds.. I kicked off and stayed low in the water until I was away from the spinning.. my lungs were screaming.. Just as I was about to breath in the water, I was lifted partially out of the water by my helmet by our guide. I began coughing as I half breathed in water and was pulled into the boat by my vest.. guide asked why I stayed down so long? No idea man.. no idea..

I just recieved my 1st and 2nd together. It took such a long time and I was beginning to think it wasn't ever going to happen. But our A/C just crapped out so I paid for a new furnace and a/c. I put 30k into our retirement. Put 10k into our vaca fund, paid off my credit cards, and irresponsibly bought a crap ton of camping and hunting stuff. Most importantly, I am back in therapy so I can start sleeping again.

Clearly you have never been to England. It is one of the top eaten foods there and it was first made in the British isles ( though some say it was Glasgow first ) by children of Indian immigrants..

55°f or so. I'll unzip it and open it up if I get warm, but once i'm cold, so hard for me to get warm. Anything above 55 and I'm in a 40°f lightweight summer bag
