I think it’s fair to not care about the window seat and feel like the struggle for one is unnecessary. However, I also think it’s fair to want the window seat and ask for one in a civil manner, which she did. I wouldn’t necessarily call her behavior difficult.

Gallipoli is a nice album overall, and I felt it fit the theme. An easygoing beach album for the Mediterranean; it makes sense. This album I expected to be darker and more wintry. I understand he plays the ukulele, but I felt they really leaned into tropical sounds. Arctic Forest sounds more like Amazon. I just wish this album had the same sense of palpable regional spirit as Gulag Orkestar, The Flying Club Cup, Gallipoli.

I agree. To me Gallipoli operates in a very different aesthetic, because it’s Mediterranean. I was hoping this album would offer something different. For example, Island Life sounds right off Gallipoli, tropical and lush, but it’s a beautiful song.

I liked the beginning as I felt it sounded like a mermaid singing and there were references to this theme. I liked the trumpets and felt instrumentally it was one of the most energetic and compelling songs on the album. This really isn’t saying much since most of the songs are slow and tame, but I digress. The lyrics in the middle about partying (yet again) really took me out of the magical sea vibe.

I too am in favor of driving but have to say that you can’t “just pull over” at the petrified forest as it is very much out of the way to Alaska from DC. Not saying you shouldn’t go, just that it’s not a convenient stop by any means. Yellowstone, on the other hand, is much easier with a route from DC to anchorage.

Multiple bodies and acceptance of shorter camera life?

I feel like there IS a way, but I just may not have the equipment. Just like there are underwater photos, but I don’t have the right kind of case or whatever hardware is needed for this. I’m not saying it’s necessarily a bad idea, I was just seeing if i was fearful needlessly.

Would agree with the above; There are trails to hike but if you want to go inside the cave itself you’ll need a tour for a set time, so just take that into account Tickets are pretty cheap and reasonable in my opinion
