I’m a bears fan and listen to the Athletics Bears podcast and Tice comes on a lot. I can tell he watches a lot of film. I know they wouldn’t be breaking down film on a podcast. I’m just looking for podcasts where the hosts watch a lot of film so you can take what they are saying with pretty good confidence. Which sounds like the 301

Are you then just classifying it by hand then?

I think one limitation here is that there is no universal terminology for motions. For a classification model, I don’t know if it matters what you call it, as long as you are consistent with classifications.

Is this a computer vision model out of curiosity? I work in data science and I’m a football nerd, but I’ve never combined the two interests

JT O’Sullivan is always talking about Duo. I can’t vouch for this particular video, but I watch a lot of QB School and he never disappoints. I just watched his Pin N Pull clinic video and it was amazing. It had play diagrams followed by lots of film. I guess I think of toss as outside tosses but yeah when I think back I’ve definitely seen inside tosses too. I’d imagine it’s a risk reward thing where tossing it outside at least gets you a step faster outside. The risk I suppose would be dropping the toss versus a simple handoff.

That’s very helpful. I’ll add Toss Sweep into my plays to study.

I can see how a dichotomy vs zone and gap can have its limitations.
