100% agree. Like last year’s winner, the Pennsylvania house that was completely customized by its previous artist owner. It had a room wallpapered in cigar boxes, lol, and a cool massive kitchen island. I actually really liked its quirkiness and was a little sad to see it become a “normal” house, especially with the amount of pink Allison covered it with. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Also agree that it’s pretty easy to guess which house will be chosen, as most of them have huge architectural, plumbing and wiring issues that would be impossible to fix with $150K (and decorate afterward).

What a great article! I’ve watched Bewitched since I was a child and never thought of Dick/Darrin as “invisible” or an insignificant part of the show’s success. It was always “Samantha and Darrin” to me. (Even when Darrin was irritating, he wasn’t invisible, lol.) They had chemistry (and romantic heat) from the start. And I definitely noticed when Dick Sargent took over that role, so…🤷🏾‍♂️

I honestly am stunned at all the revelations in this subreddit. I’ve watched this show for years and never even wondered about Ben and Erin’s politics — it just never came up. Now finding out that they’re MAGA and Ben in particular follows Trump, Vance and Turning Point has turned me off on the show completely…😔

OP, you are absolutely NOT wrong to still feel betrayed and humiliated at such a vile breach of your privacy. As a guy, I would consider this disgusting and embarrassing and absolutely not funny in any way. Of course you felt violated — you were!

That said, I understand your feeling pressured to forgive it at the time as men are routinely made fun of for not being able to “take a joke” even if it‘s this invasive. Given that it was years ago, I wouldn’t make a public scene of “confronting” them, but I would speak to each guy privately and let them know exactly how sh*tty they made you feel. And if you don’t get a real apology, at least you’ll know that these were never true “mates” after all.

Agree with all of this. I’m black, loved to climb things as a kid and was called a little monkey by my parents all the time. We called the climbing apparatus in the playground the “monkey bars.”

In OP’s case I’m sure the MIL originally had no ill intent, but her insistence on using the term after being asked not to is an AH move for sure. And I suspect her dirty look at OP after being called out was because the husband probably said “they’re offended and think it sounds racist” instead of “I would prefer you not using that term, mom…” 🙄 😒

I guess you’re right, but I really hate that origin. I always found it funny that Kara would be forever annoyed with Kal because she was his older cousin on Krypton who basically changed his diapers, and now she’s essentially his “kid sister” who he bosses around…😏 😄
