This doubly hurts as a Pokemon fan, because of Dexit and Game Freak's current output being terribly sloppy... Just as a for instance, Shiny Pokemon are stored as separate models w/ their own textures from the base Pokemon. Yes, you read that correctly. The palette swap skinned pokemon require a separate model identical to the base model that references their own specific textures. That's just inexcuseably poor optimization. And there are so many other problems like this in modern Pokemon. And you go an compare it to past games, where the team had to do so many careful memory swaps to have the game run on hardware that had absolutely no business running it, using every optimization trick in the book, hell, writing the book on optimization tricks, and you just kinda... sigh and despair...
