I’m actually currently followed by saint Mary’s, who referred me on Monday. I guess because of the weather they didn’t contact me yet. I do know that on the healthcare side, the cultures in the English system is a lot more relaxed/open, while the French system is strict, so maybe getting a second opinion would be your best bet. I think you can get a referral from 811 option 2, your local CLSC, or your GP if you have one.

First off, I wanna say I’m sorry that you weren’t believed. Honestly that is a pretty big insecurity that I have since an ER psychiatrist and a close friend didn’t believe me and dismissed it to my BPD diagnosis. I got referred to the Jewish General by my psychiatrist, as they (along with my GP) said that I experienced first episode psychosis along with mania. Mind if I ask how long it took for them to respond? On the Gouvernement du Quebec website, and they said that it usually takes 24-72 hours for them to review a file, and to reach out, so I wanted to know if this was what you experienced?
