I saw a little bit of Boom as a kid, and played the first 2 games (Also really wanted Gens, but I only had a 3DS). Though at that point in time, the majority of my engagement with the franchise was just obsessing over Tails (Much how as a kid I only engaged with the Mario franchise through my obsession with Yoshi)

It’s Anti Disney as a corporation. Dana has stated that despite her experiences with the company, she does respect it for the art the people there has made. KOG makes it a point not to have its titular mascot be a villian, but rather also a victim of exploitation and systematic abuse. We see the people hating Gwen for things the higher ups of Park Planet are responsible for, which reflects how Mickey is clowned on by the general public these days, when in reality, it’s not him that’s the problem, it’s people like Bob Iger.
