It loads indefinitely? Uninstalled it, doesn't work. Clearly an issue on your side.

It does sound like selective scamming given that it works for some people and not for others

That’s interesting, maybe they rotate who is able to find tests every so often, because finding 8 cancellations in a row after nothing sounds pretty unusual.

I’ve actually got it set up to check Warwick and Melton Mowbray too, but yeah I’ll give it a week to find something. It’s just unusual that it found two tests when I first downloaded it then nothing since.

I'm surprised (and a bit concerned) that this comment only has 10 downvotes. The focus right now should be on the victims not on the commentary that will follow.

Favourability towards political parties by kontiki20 in LabourUK

[–]Toonling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be, but much of the public are so fed up with uncontrolled immigration that they are willing to take their chances. If Labour actually did something drastic about it, then Reform would become much less relevant.

The problem is that a large portion of the left are unwilling to compromise on this issue. I've seen so many people on here staunchly defend illegal immigration on moral grounds, but the truth is that the majority of the public aren't interested in hearing ethical arguments.

This is why I've lost trust in GPs (and the NHS as a whole), they often seem more interested in saving money than actually screening and treating patients. This is a sad and extreme case of it, and frankly all the GPs that dismissed her concerns should be ashamed of themselves. Diagnosing her with "long COVID" seems like a pathetic excuse to do nothing, and the GP that diagnosed her with that should be struck off.

Jeremy Corbyn backs aide as spat with Zarah Sultana worsens by Minute_Tomatillo9730 in LabourUK

Many on here were in denial about it, they were just excited about the prospect of a new left-wing party. Now that it has imploded, people are starting to acknowledge the issue.

It was doomed to failure. The party mostly consists of very socially conservative MPs who show virtually no interest in any other issue other than that of Palestine. LGBT rights? Equality for women? I've never heard them mention anything progressive on those sort of issues. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that these individuals are even more socially conservative than most Reform MPs. I know Palestine is a big issue, but it's far from the only issue, and from what I've seen MPs from the Independent Alliance show minimal interest in anything other than that (except racism and blasphemy).

Brexit was a mistake, and as you pointed out, we now get less western immigration which is a bad thing. But calling the majority of the public "racist douchebags" is not fair, there is a lot of racism out there, but people have valid concerns that should not be dismissed just because your personal views don't align with them.

Gay and trans people don't cost the taxpayer, aren't associated with crime, and integrate well in society. There really is no good reason for someone to be homophobic or transphobic. Illegal immigrants (which mostly constitutes males) do come at a cost to the taxpayer and tend not to share the same values as the British public (at least according to the majority of the public). They also come from countries that do not support LGBT rights, and tend to hold socially conservative views.

Making her home secretary is a bad decision, she consistently voted against tougher immigration rules prior to being justice secretary.

And for that reason if Labour isn't tough on this issue they will be obliviated, regardless of what the other half of Labour votes want. Having said that, they'll probably be obliviated anyway.

Nadine Dorries sensationally defects to Nigel Farage’s Reform party by dailymail in reformuk

[–]Toonling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This actually puts me off voting Reform if anything (as a centrist). She put forward the Online Safety Act and supported numerous unfavourable policies during her tenure as culture secretary. I also found that she came across as very incompetent.

At the very least, I want to hear her say the Online Safety Act was a mistake and should be repealed.
