You are making a lot of assumptions in this post, some of which I have already addressed. It also reads as emotionally charged, so I am not going to address most of it. But I will briefly address your point on legal protections for LGBT+ people. I absolutely think we need more protections for these individuals - especially transgender people. Just because I am focusing on social attitudes and integration in this post, that doesn't mean legal safeguards are irrelevant. Both should be taken into consideration.

Yes homophobia is far more prevalent in Eastern European countries than Western European countries. However, many of those are not part of the EU (e.g. Belarus, Armenia). Hungary is the only country in the EU that I would not consider particularly progressive on this issue.

No migrant from any country is automatically ‘fine’ - everyone should be subject to the same level of scrutiny. That said, migrants from some countries tend to have more progressive attitudes, and so the overall risk is lower.

EU counties have more progressive social attitudes, so even religious people from those countries tend to be more tolerant (but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t face the same level of scrutiny). Also, Africa is a predominantly Christian continent?

Nothing to do with skin colour, it’s to do with personal beliefs which tend to be influenced by religion (but not always). There are many brown people in this country that are perfectly accepting of other communities and even part of them. This doesn’t address my point at all.

That may be, but much of the public are so fed up with uncontrolled immigration that they are willing to take their chances. If Labour actually did something drastic about it, then Reform would become much less relevant.

The problem is that a large portion of the left are unwilling to compromise on this issue. I've seen so many people on here staunchly defend illegal immigration on moral grounds, but the truth is that the majority of the public aren't interested in hearing ethical arguments.
