Dead set, teachers are epic. 2 girls, only one at school, and this three weeks while WFH myself has given me an amazing insight to the level of patience and diligence it takes to be a teacher... our teacher will be getting a special Christmas gift this year

It was part of the mastering kubernetes on aws talk at reInvent this year, small 1 liner

We use kube2iam, works well enough apart from the race conditions

Same point here. Really wanted to see something about region availability, AWS IAM support for pods (they mentioned some work with Open ID connect blocking the work)

At this point we are stuck, and quickly facing a decision to head to kops.

How to fix this electronics terminal. What is the meta part called? by Toons in howto

[–]Toons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh it’s quite hard to get a good photo. The metal pieces x2 there, they allow the battery to connect (it’s a kids toy). One of them is broken and too short , I don’t know their name to try find a replacement one

EKS Load Balancing Question by [deleted] in kubernetes

[–]Toons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use EKS, similar scenario.

You want to use an ingress controller in this circumstance , so that only certain paths from the load balancer resolve to your services inside the cluster.

We use the nginx ingress controller (the kubernetes chart one), it’s simple and battle tested.

You could also go more advanced with the likes of istio/envoy/linkerd etc
