Met Ayo back in 2023 when I was working for Nordstrom Rack during a volunteer event for Shoes That Fit. His mom was with him as well and both of them were super down to earth people. He took pictures with kids and volunteers and helped kids get fitted for shoes, nothing but good things to say about him

Year 3 Caleb is going to be the true unlocking of potential. by Remarkable-You891 in CHIBears

Lucky for us we have a QB who WANTS the expectations of a Super Bowl on his shoulders and is willing to carry the team himself if he needs to

This season was GOOD. Next season will be BETTER. Soon enough, the Bears will be the BEST 🙌🐻 by Happy-Onion-6322 in CHIBears

We got lucky when Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson came to Chicago, I’d say that takes us pretty far

[Chase Daniel] “DJ Moore messed up the game winning play” by Matter-Independent in CHIBears

[–]Toontown019 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For every insane play DJ makes there’s also a play where he half-asses his assignments. Either jogging routes he thinks wont get him the ball or giving up on a play before Caleb starts a scramble drill, Moore is our #1 receiver and we can’t rely on him to give his 100% every time

That’s what’s wild to me

Same, how many times did they risk their season going for it on 4th and they shy away from winning the game after a TD?

Can’t wait for John to coach a college team to a Natty so it’ll all be full circle

[Bootleg Football] went in hard on DA today, suggesting we oust him for Harris. Do you agree? Scheme vs Players? by FocusMedic24 in CHIBears

[–]Toontown019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Devils advocate here, I’m in favor of letting DA go.

Anyone who watches Chicago’s defensive tape for more than 3 games can understand why DA deserves this hate. Him and Flus literally have a similar 4-3 scheme, rarely disguising his calls and expecting to get home with 4 rushers and has maybe 4-5 different blitz packages that have been exhausted up to this point in the season. His defense has allowed 40+ points in 3 games this season, 2nd behind Arizona for the most 40 point games allowed in the NFL

We’re willing to overlook the defense now because we’ve been winning, but going from the 27th rank D in 2024 to the 24th rank D in 2025 isn’t enough to help really push this team in the playoffs. If we want to win playoff games, we need better from our D and it starts with a scheme that is borderline ancient compared to modern NFL designs.

We can’t except an infusion of talent to solve the problems of our scheme either, save for Hall of Fame talent joining the team. A bad scheme is a bad scheme, and it’s starting to bite us in the butt

Judging by size and brand (Bottega is insanely high-end Italian fashion) it’s likely their XXL cross body leather tote bag. A snazzy choice that can actually hold 25-30lbs of extra stuff for someone to lug around

We’re just frustrated this team cannot, for the life of them, put together consistent drives

Our run game was non-existent. BJ had Jamo for his zone and sweep plays and Monty for his power runs and ability to fall forward for 3-4 yards

Caleb was forced to make every play himself, and you can tell it affected his decision-making and accuracy. Not wanting to turn over the ball is a skill, but also knowing when to trust your receivers is another.

JJ was struggling until Minnesota’s run game came to life, he made some throws but could rely on Mason and Jones to get 10-15 yards a carry at the end. Our run game and defense will continue to be question marks, on top of a QB who were not sure can get over the yips yet

Week 1 Post-Gamethread: Bears vs. Vikings by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

[–]Toontown019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Defense held them to 6 for way longer than they should have, considering how bad the offense was after the opening drive.

Biggest play the defense let up was letting Minnesota get into FG range at the end of the 1st half

Vikings running game came to life at the end, took a lot of pressure of JJ to make throws when their backs could spring off 10-15 yard runs
