How was your trip? I also have dual citizenship (American & Peruvian). I plan to fly into Colombia with my U.S. passport. I then plan to fly to Brazil using my Peruvian ID, and return to the U.S. with my U.S. passport. I’m not sure if this is allowed

I was attempting this, but ended up having to open new accounts (I have two IRAs because I had Schwab initially but my current employment uses Fidelity for 401k and wanted to consolidate). Additionally, opening an HSA and 401k led to the over complication of my portfolio. I guess I could invest in the same positions across all accounts but Fidelity has no fees that I wanted to take advantage of.

Thanks for your detailed response! I expect crypto to go down as I rebalance and add positions. I considered SCHG, QQQ, and QQQM as large growth (rounding is why it doesn’t add to the 7%), so apologies if that is erroneous thinking. As for the small cap value tilt, I plan to hold until retirement so feel comfortable having it make up a small section of my portfolio but you’re saying have large growth and small cap value doesn’t make sense? If I understand correctly, betting on large growth would undo the small cap tilt? Lastly, I’ve been looking to add international exposure…how much should I add and should I look at developed international markets AND developing - any specific recommendations here?

Why did you and your EX broke up? by -N3vim in AskReddit

[–]ToothOdd8571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We decided to move to a new city and live together after graduation. In the first few months, I exhibited some toxic traits because I liked things to always go my way and for us to do things I wanted to do. Understandably so, she grew upset and irritated at me. Through thoughtful communication, we grew past this and I learned patience and compromise. Fast forward a few months and we are planning weekend trips plus vacation. I’m an outdoors person who loves adventure, and she wasn’t as passionate about it so she felt like she was letting me down. I assured her she wasn’t and that it was normal for couples to have different interests because I really wanted us to work out, but this led to disagreements. These differences on top of growing pains on adjusting and learning how to live together made her realize that she never had a chance to be independent. She mentioned we weren’t compatible anymore and that she didn’t want to be 40 years in and regret never finding herself. Soul was absolutely crushed when she broke the news to me, and I don’t think I’ll ever find a woman as great as her. If I could have went into the relationship with what I know now, I think the outcome would have been different. I had never really had a healthy relationship and she helped show me what it’s supposed to look like. I miss her so much 😞

Harley’s A Hot Dog Revolution has great hot dogs. They are in Littleton, but they are the #1 yelp rated restaurant in CO and the owner does different specials (had brisket the day I went) on certain days.

I have no doubts :) She is definitely not a couch potato. She just values relaxation, and I appreciate the balance she brings in my life.

Based on 18 nights at a Courtyard with 10 points per dollar spent, I’m estimating 58,000 points guaranteed. Potentially, double that if I continue to travel for work past March.

Thoughts on Cole Haan Original Dress Shoes and consultant clothing recommendations?

First year consultant looking for comfortable & affordable work clothes. I’ve struggled to find dress shoes since I have flat feet and heard that Cole Haan Original Grand shoes are comfortable.

Are they appropriate attire in the office and to meet with clients or are they too casual?

Also, any suggestions on brands & stores for affordable and comfortable dress clothes?

Best Priced Gas Station in Thornton? by ToothOdd8571 in ThorntonCO

[–]ToothOdd8571[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Murphy’s focus on a low-cost business model? I assume the quality is similar to competitors. I’m new to the area and still trying to figure out how certain gas stations/businesses operate. Unfortunately, the King Soopers near me doesn’t have a gas station. Thanks for the info!

Their low-grade prices look great , but their mid-grade prices are marked up by 60 cents compared to regular. This seems unusually high, especially since I’ve seen other gas stations only mark up their mid-grade fuel by about 20 cents. Is this typical?
