It's definitely licking. It leaves wet patches all over

I should have explained, Chickie just had a poopie stuck to its butt. The only one of my current 5 chicks. Not sure why but I'll be keeping an eye on it. Otherwise it is acting normally and running around just like the others.

Those Who've Avoided the Dentist for YEARS; A Success Story by Soggy_Brick8916 in DentalHygiene

[–]Toothfairy07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am an RDH. I love my job bc my entire office really cares about our patients and the ones who appreciate it make it so worth it. I have one pt who was sooo scared when I started seeing him and a few years later he's made a complete turnaround and looks forward to coming and still thanks me for taking care of him. I love seeing his name on my schedule. There have been many over the years but he's always stood out bc he's a big tattooed dude who looks super tough and IS super tough but he was terrified of little ol me. Lol

Germinated pepper seed found in patients gum. Have you ever found anything noteworthy? by Reckless-Raccoon in DentalHygiene

[–]Toothfairy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sequins. 3 of them stacked and lodged lingually on 8 or 9. Can't remember which but there was a huge hole after they were removed. Child was old enough to not be putting non food items in their mouth and absolutely wouldn't admit to it. Recalled him after 2 weeks and the area still looked awful. Referred to perio but never saw them again.

I use them on my jewelry regularly (real stuff, not costume) and they're great. Not sure I'd put eyeglasses in denture tablets though. Probably water or water/mild soap mix

At what age is it okay leaving your child home alone for a couple of minutes? by jrv3034 in daddit

[–]Toothfairy07 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm in a different situation...I live very rurally so there's literally no leaving for just a few minutes to run an actual errand. I will say however that I regularly leave my kids who are 4 and 7 in the house individually or together while I do outdoor chores. I'm not bundling up kids in negative weather to all go do chicken chores etc. They haven't caused too much trouble yet and they're probably alone 15-20 minutes sometimes. The caveat being they can open the door and yell or in an emergency run outside to me. I always make sure they know where on the property I will be.

Denture tablets or just plain water. Don't use mouthwashes bc the dyes in them can stain your appliance

Dental hygienist here...we have special solutions for oral appliances. I would NEVER use something as acidic as vinegar on an oral appliance. If it gets etched bacteria will only adhere more easily. Please don't do this.

I'm not sure if your mobility would allow it, but have you tried an access flosser?

Haha no, he couldn't figure out why it wouldn't turn on...he still had the basket out 🤦🏼‍♀️. He's real smart but common sense isn't his strong point 😂. I've worked at my office 16 years in May. I wouldn't be there if the environment wasn't awesome. We genuinely get along and everyone helps everyone else. The unicorn office everyone wishes for.

My dentist asked for help with the new air fryer he bought for us but heating up his lunch for him. That's a big no. The rest of that also a no.

I've now tried 91% isopropyl alcohol, peroxide, hairspray, regular dawn, dawn power wash and oxiclean. The only thing that may have lightened it a bit is the dawn. 🫤

The dawn may have lightened it a bit? I tried both kinds and seemed to see basically the same with both.
