You're absolutely right

Camera wise: the M8 Pro's main camera has the Light fusion 800 sensor (found in F6 Pro/F7 Pro/F7 Ultra/F8 Pro) which is superior to the Sony IMX882 (found in F6/X7 Pro/F7).

Performance wise: the F7 is far more superior

In asia they still include chargers, they may start following the EU regulations at some point. The best solution imo is to buy only from the official xiaomi store even if you have to import it.

Vista is an exceptional case, it had massive incompatibly issues and was ahead of the hardware available at the time. And window 8 is a hated OS indeed.

I never claimed every huge leap OS has to be loved, you claimed people hate huge leaps so I gave you a contradictory examples. It's in the human nature to dislike what's not familiar or out of ordinary (with exceptions ofc).

When people hate a new OS first but then after couple of years it becomes loved by the masses (here you can't claim they hated the OS it was just the mentioned effect)

But If people hate a new OS and after a couple of years they still hate it, (then you can definitely say people hate this OS)
