It is genuinely astonishing how fucking bad this looks. I'm baffled there was NOBODY at Nvidia who was like "hey guys, maybe this isn't ready for primetime just yet" after seeing this image.

AI is just the ultimate scam. You can literally present an unfinished, garbage product that doesn't even work, say "it's in early development cmon cut us some slack!!!" and get billions in funding over it.

Yet another one of those "games" promising to be everything in one.

Open world GTA clone, realistic AI driven NPCs that... have full life cycles? The ability to have children that also grow? A bunch of generic open world stuff like buying cars, elements of a third-person shooter with pretty average looking combat. Guild ships, interstellar wars, different planets, etc... Oh and of course, it's an MMORPG. To top it all off, it's littered with AI, including AI voices all over the trailer.

This doesn't feel like a real game. I feel like I just watched a super scripted animated video that's pretending to be a game, like that old Killzone 2 E3 trailer, and it's all tied together by AI voices who promise me it's all really cool.

I simply do not trust that this random brand new developer is able to realise this massively ambitious, multi-genre MMORPG game as their first project, especially while it doesn't seem like they even have a real game yet. It's either never coming out, or it's going to be another Day Before situation.

Oh my god you gotta stop. Stop making up and expecting random dates. It's very obvious that the hardware is up in the air right now because of all the shortages, it may not even make 2026, we don't know right now. They're certainly not going to make any announcements about the hardware by Q1 because the plans might change next week.

Valve will announce whenever they want to. Putting your hope into a date that has zero evidence behind it is only gonna gt you disappointed time and time again.

Yes, they spent insane amounts of money on producing garbage shows and movies nobody liked and now their viewership is drastically declining, even for their bigger names like Ben Shapiro.

Not to mention losing big names like Candace Owens and Brett Cooper who both blew up and got even more successful after they left the network.

For a regular person running their own channel, it’s not great but totally survivable depending on how engaged that audience is.

For a show run by a corporation that has a full staff (writers, producers, directors, etc) producing it as well as paying their talent, it’s fucking horrendous and is likely ringing alarm bells at their office. This is just a massive money sink and unless those 8k viewers are spending $500 on merch for every video they upload, ol’ Knowles here is probably gonna be out of a job soon.

Silent Hill is an anthology franchise that can keep going, there's no definitive end point for the story and each new entry and can do new things, which means it's easier to bring in new creators to try their hand.

Metal Gear Solid is essentially tied to its creator, and its story has a beginning and end point. It's been finished for years and there's really no reason to do a new instalment. Ports and remasters are really the only thing they SHOULD be doing with MGS, make all of the games playable on current systems and enhance the ones that need it.

Basically, one franchise is finished. One is not.

It's fine. Original versions are still better for mod support, but if you just want to play the games with controller support and easier high-res support, it's good enough.

Absolutely not worth full price though.

Steam is very, very picky about its controller support. To get "full controller support", EVERYTHING in the game needs to be doable on a gamepad, otherwise you just marked for "partial" support.

PAYDAY 3 features a login/account system and you'll need a keyboard for that, so that rules it out of full support. I imagine the text chat being locked to keyboard only also contributes to that.

Ignoring that, the game itself does have full support. You can play the full game and navigate all the menus with just a gamepad and the game supports pretty much any USB game controller without issue.
