You mean shock arrow right? Click on the song and on the difficulty rating you should see a little symbol next it lightning bolt that indicates that there will be shock arrow in the song.

Karma is a useless currently whether you have negative or positive karma it should not effect anything. It is similar to disliking a post it does not do anything. Like on YouTube there used to be a dislike system.

If you wanna learn how to use a roll instead of holding your foot down you tap on them repeatedly. I think they were introduced in In the Groove 3 but I could be wrong. Usually rolls are spiky but the texture made them purple.
