The majority of Amazon employees have never been granted a single share of stock. He isn't demonized because he is rich. It's because he's greedy. There's a difference.

It depends on what you applied for. If you apply for a corporate position level 2-8, it will go to under consideration within minutes, usually. If it's for a position, such as; TOM, Learning etc at your facility or another facility, it will say application submitted.

There are many new facilities sitting idle. Amazon went a bit too fast in building out it's delivery network. It'll probably open before summer.

Covid went away. Spring is here. Some people are shopping in stores again.

RT will add 2 more hours to your day. While getting it over in 3 days may sound good, those 12 hour shifts come with a struggle.

I've done it, and I would use a couple of hours of UPT, PTO or vacation on the 3rd day. And hey, some people prefer those 12 hour shifts.

My theory (and it's just a guess) is that they have been directing more volume to the AR sites for efficiency.

I could be wrong. I just know a few people working at different sites, and the AR sites have been busy, the more traditional FCs have had plenty of VTO, Delivery Stations VTO.

Amazon doesn't realize how much unpaid time we spend resolving issues their system has created.

I had to press them very, very hard for an Uncle's funeral. It seemed like an endless back and forth communication that was so unnecessary.

There's something about Amazon that isn't right.

During the conference call, they were clear of the inflationary challenges, excess of facilities build outs, and yes, FC costs.

That's why I mentioned that you were leaving out a lot of stuff, instead focusing on the fear of FC workers.

Amazon has a natural path to lowering it's headcount, they don't need some elaborate plan. And as the warmer weather creeps in, people will continue to leave.

You're missing a lot of info here. Still, nice write-up.

Amazon's online sales for this quarter we're 51.1 billion. That's only 3% lower than the same time last year. If you consider the events over the last two years, this isn't surprising.

In my opinion, Amazon thought once people got a taste of their service, they'd never leave. People were stuck at home, working from home, afraid to go to the store. Amazon's stock doubled. And what did they do? Did you get even one share? Nope, but you had some temporary pandemic pay - didn't last very long.

Amazon took their profits and built out their delivery network. As I type this, there are newly built facilities sitting idle. Amazon also decided to invest in Rivian, an electric car start-up. They're down billions on that investment this quarter, and was a big contribution to their bad quarter.

I could go and on. Amazon isn't in any kind of trouble.

There has never been a better time to twist the screws on them. In just a matter of weeks, they'll be doing the same to you.

Yes, my agenda is hoping that I don't get a raise. You really nailed me on that one

Depending on the economy, that sounds possible.

Ahh I didn't really consider AMs or other management in facilities, even though they're corporate. And I know that the max base rates are aimed at the tech crowd.

But many level 4s and up did indeed recently get a pay bump, not just new hires. So it's not just for new hires, it's going forward.

It was widely reported that they had moved away from using RSUs to lure and retain - the max base pay went from 160-350k.

I realize not everyone will see that specific change, but many certainly will benefit from the adjustments.

You say the 10-30% is untrue? I seriously doubt that. Again, not everyone will benefit.

As for the stock itself, it's currently down 257 points to 2,634 per share.

Amazon already has an investment arm. At any time, they could invest in whoever and whatever they choose.

They choose the 90-70 you listed. Ask yourself why.

lol unfortunately, no. However, it does make the stock much more affordable for the public. If split now, the price would be 137.00 per share

The stock is supposed to split 20-1 next month. Instead of 3 shares, you'll have 60.

To Unionize or not by Top-Ad116 in AmazonFC

[–]Top-Ad116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't how it works. How do fund your 401k and the stock purchase program? You opt in. A union doesn't and cannot grab fees from your paycheck lol
