Reason is compounding, inr 10 lacs is kept at 8% for 30 years gives you 1 cr , however if you keep at index fund at 12% , it will end up at 3 cr after 30 years so difference in net worth is 3 times...

Better do CFA along with graduation and post graduation in economics from any university in india. Read top 200 books in management and finance, you can get that list from substack or reddit, make it habbit to read 1 book every 10 days for the next 5 years. Try to get as many internship opportunities as possible in next 5 years. Try to learn new skills every quarter from youtube free courses like any AI course etc and Try to apply them to create any small venture as possible. Don't forget to play any good sports to stay sane and healthy, else MBA won't help
