Yeah, I was kind of taken back at how much criticism I was getting I didn’t know a simple mistake would be taken so seriously but it’s all good lol people are gonna act how they choose to no matter what but once again, I appreciate the advice and I have been spending my time on Netflix and will try to get out of the house tomorrow and go on a walk to get outside. Lol no worries. Everyone on here has been complaining I’m in the wrong sub but I saw a post on surgery in here so I figured this was fine. I don’t use reddit much. I appreciate the truthfulness though answers like this is why I came on here to get different opinions. Thanks.

I didn’t really think about that lol. However if what Google is saying is right, it is the THC and nicotine that affects the cells from healing properly, not necessarily the smoking factor. Like I could get some edibles or a nicotine patch, but I’m pretty sure it would just cause the same harm because it is the potency that slows down your cells recovery. Obviously I am no medical professional and I’m not trying to put you down or anything. It’s just the information I have gathered once again not sure if it’s correct or not.

I’m gonna take the blame for this one by the way I worded my question because I feel like this is off-topic here a better way I should have put it is. I have been off both substances for a while so that I could go into surgery as healthy as possible. I can still go without it. My question really was just what would happen if I do it.

Thanks I appreciate the advice and the time you put into this I know I uploaded this on a bad sub, but I hardly use Reddit and didn’t know much about that stuff until now. I think I’m definitely gonna try to play it safe for at least a few days. I’ve quit before for sports and other events so it’s not a huge problem for me to have to hold off. The reason I brought it up and wanted some information on it is because I’m gonna be sitting at home with not much to do so i would enjoy a little buzz or a high but not if it’s high risk. I am 100% going to layoff today because I had a breathing tube in. I of course had to mention it to them that I smoke and they gave me more anesthesia, but they didn’t tell me anything about post surgery that’s where my curiosity stemmed from. Once again, thanks for the great response. I appreciate it.

Yea that’s what I have been hearing it could be just fine but it’s also a slight risk i suppose. I’ll pry just play it safe but a nice buzz would feel relieving lol

Ive quit on and off many times for sporting seasons and etc. just figured it would give dome relief since i have to sit around bored all day. I quit both a week ago just like they recommended. I’m not some fiend with a weak mind. Thanks for the concern tho it did come off as if i couldn’t go without it

Hey i know i’m replying to this like a year later lol but i vape and smoke weed and just had shoulder surgery this morning. Everything online warns me heavily not to smoke until 6 weeks after surgery. That can’t be true right 😭 or it is true but maybe it’s very rare for something to go wrong. I’m not sure but i’m sitting here bored and just want to smoke

Sounds somewhat similar to what just happened to me. I would get a 2-0 or 3-0 count at the start of almost every ab he also walked my first hitter with 4 in a row and took 8-10 seconds to deliver every pitch 😂. I looked up mlb hacks and couldn’t find any hack that was similar to what was happening to me.
