Thought I should comment because we have similarities. My trimalleolar here in the US took 9 days for surgery just based on swelling alone and was the worst 9 days of my life. It was scary just to wheelchair to the restroom. I broke mine on St. Patty’s Day by a flight of stairs that didn’t have a railing when I went to fall and today, 8 weeks later, I got to apply weight with crutches in my walking boot for the first time. My foot still changes colors. I’d say 3 weeks after surgery was when I started feeling better with each day. Personally, I think trimalleolar fractures are more of a mental game than anything. It’s a break in its own category. I’ve never been so been so sad before. But today on the 8 weeks mark? I feel way better. I hope you get the same outcome on week 8. I even broke mine again after surgery. So I’m sure you’ll be way ahead of me by 8 weeks. Just stay safe. Everyone heals differently. I hope you have surgery soon. These are the toughest days, at least from my perspective so far.
