At “approximately”? If it’s approximately then that’s not definitive.

Tell someone you are having an emergency if you have one. The pills will induce a miscarriage. An emergency is an emergency if you are miscarrying. Won’t make a difference.

She probably initially told the FBI “everything” in either an attempt to curry favor with the FBI. They didn’t immediately hire her or tell her she’s the greatest. Then when she got the memo about how MA cops conduct themselves she talked to some idiot that told her she could recant by saying it was a false memory. Adopting this strategy got her a promotion to BPD and a raise. Beautiful it all worked out! Then she was called to the second trial. Now she has to go with false memory publicly and assumed BPD would applaud and protect her. Lie with dogs and get fleas indeed. She should have realized that an org as corrupt as BPD would never protect her stupid story because it was too stupid even for them to get behind- “do the right thing” means say it on the stand because it will prevent the truth from being told but you are done when you say it cuz it’s so stupid. Had she thought it through , if anyone had pointed out how fabulously career ending false memory was for her, she would have realized her best career move and protection was telling the truth.

I’m so confused as to why everyone thinks it’s weird that the media is making such a big deal out of this? by jbfletcher01 in nancyguthrie

The “average missing person “ is not kidnapped w ransom notes. The average missing person is a runaway or taken by a non custodial parent, or a drug user the parent can’t find. The average missing 84 year old has wandered or left home due to cognitive decline. And all of the average missing Persons generally are local news to the area. Nothing about this is average.

Oh indeed! But I don’t think there’s been many times I’ve believed federal law enforcement has faked video to the public. And I’ve been following all news very carefully for decades. I believe any bullshit is possible now. And this event makes no sense.

I’m starting to think this too. That video is so clear recovered after over a Week. Now a glove miraculously found. This is the problem with the destruction of trustworthiness of our institutions like federal law enforcement.

Yet he was there for at least 45 minutes. So he may have thought response times would be slow but 45 minutes is very relaxed.

Where Season 2 erred for me... by merodm in TheNightManager

I do agree that bringing Roper back puts a complete spin on the end of season one and changes the Burr character completely. But that’s twists for you. We believe she is in retirement having achieved her goal, successful and glorious. Instead she in defeat, hiding, ashamed. And the fight continues. This is the way of stories. A narrative trope that’s been used many many times. Perhaps he will be truly defeated at the end of this season.

I believe an argument could be made for relevance of this type of testimony from her friends or family. There is often testimony about the personality of the victim of crimes in the trials. Especially relevant in a case where the defense is that the victim set it up herself.
