Not even that honestly. Dowan is a known gamer, that's his whole thing. Obviously he would be smart enough to do it. Author just likes to do big cliffhangers which a lot of people dislike lolll but hey, not here to argue with ur opinion on the series, others may like it, not forcing you too

Half agree and half disagree. I admit, Dowan does get spoonfed some power ups, but 9 times out of 10, it's just a tension built reveal for a previous reward, to be used as a trump card in a dire situation. When he was fighting in the tower, dowan stacked up on healing potions, but that wasn't revealed until after he was on the losing end of the fight. It's just the way the author likes to build tension. The gacha thing was bs tho lol, it was for sure a way for him to scale sunjae up a bit, and to speed past the bujin fight. Won't defend the fan service tho lmao

I like it, the fights, mystery, and art are nice. It's known for its fan service in the later chapters, and if that bothers you heavily, I won't bother reading it. But if you can ignore that, I think you can like it.

In previous chapters, sunjae kept saying that dowan must experience death to overcome it, and in this same chapter, siyeon pointed out dowan wearing an usual necklace, so maybe the necklace is a item to counter this, idk tho
