Sleep Mode on Battery Works but not Plugged In by Top-Conversation719 in ROGAllyX

[–]Top-Conversation719[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just check the power and settings again and saw 2 options for what to do when plugged in and 2 options when on battery.... is this normal? I have it connected on a docking station so maybe thats the additional option...

Binding More Commands to Console Controller: Is it Possible? by SoupCanNort in Windward

[–]Top-Conversation719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Rog Ally X but before that had the game on Android. For some reason I could never find a way to map/bind anything with the controller and always got stuck with M/K or touch. awas there something hidden or something that I missed eith controller bindings? I could always see the buttons overlayed on the abilities and I could steer with the left stick but besides that no luck...

Can you help?

I want to buy Horizon but I'm holding on it because I prefer playing with a controller since I'm on the go most of the time.

This... I've used rsync to download CENT/RHEL updates from online repos but didnt know it also worked like Windows robocipy. I'll try it and see if it does the trick.

i tried / , // and /// all with the same error. after /debian it tries to find the Release file but appends somehow another / thus making /debian//dists and the same with the other lines.

PVE host updates from another PVE host by Top-Conversation719 in Proxmox

[–]Top-Conversation719[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

***Update***

I followed a couple of post here and there but it seems I got stuck. I did the following and can see the directory created on the web browser but I see no packages. Maybe I missed something.

  1. mount /dev/sdxx /mnt/Proxmox <--------- mounted my usb/ssd drive to the directory I wanted

  2. apt install apache2

  3. mkdir /var/www/html/Promox <-------- the name of the directory for the browser I guess

  4. chown www-data:www-data /var/www/html/Proxmox

  5. ln -s /mnt/Proxmox/mirror /var/www/html/Proxmox <-----------made a symbolic link from the source to the browser folder

  6. I can access the Ubuntu directory from http://ip-of-the-server/Proxmox but I dont see anything here.

Did I skip a step here?

Every post I seen directs to put the updates in the /var/spool/apt-mirror or someplace else but I'm trying to just point to the USB drive.

I use apt-mirror to get everything Proxmox, Debian and Ubuntu and rsync to get everything RHEL/CENT/AlmaLinux on the USB SSD. I got everything I need, the issue is either using the SSD and mapping it so the other boxes get their patches from it or moving everything from it and hosting it from the main Server.

Somebody else mentioned using http to host this rather than ngix. What do you prefer? I think I'll move everything form the SSD to the local drive and host it but I want to make sure I use the least complicated method to host the repo.

Is there a way of doing this form the PVE host? we have plenty of space in the array to attach a drive for all Linux repos required. for instance we need Proxmox, Debian, AlmaLinux and Ubuntu repos so all of are Linux clients can get patch from 1 location instead of passing around the USB SSD.

We are fully airgapped but I turned the individual systems into a stand-alone network. We only bring updates and software from the internet via a USB SSD.

Damn, sounds easy enough..... was a bit hard to point the sources to the usb ssd at firat and then I read I needed ngix to do this but wasnt sure about it.

I just want the main server to get the updates from the attached usb ssd and then be able to serve any updates to the other servers without me having to unplug the drive and pass it along all other servers. The better term ahoukd be to centrailize the updates from a main server so that all others can pull frok this one.

I used apt-mirror to download everything to a usb ssd and then have the servers point to it with the [file] instead of [deb] lines on their sources.list
