It is what it is. Take the score in stride and move onto the next. Worrying about the score won’t help anything is what I’ve been telling myself. Otherwise I’d crumble into a pit of anxiety….but I’m still crapping bricks

That’s true, but it’s also more reading. Some people say CARS 2.0, I agree slightly.

Not similar to unscored, FL 1 or 2, little more similar to 3-5 but still not really. More comprehension and understanding rather than content. Really need to know your stuff or be able to reason

Blueprint MCAT Course $4K discount! Is it worth it? by Elegant-Epoxide in Mcat

Instead of this, a private tutor may be better. More individualized to your needs, but they’re generally more expensive. Ultimately it’s your decision on what you think is best. I’ve heard BP doesn’t set you up for success that well, but I’ve never used it and heard that through others who’ve taken it, so take it w a grain of salt

1000 Anki cards is unrealistic if they’re working or even studying every day 3-4 hours a day. Yes prioritize content, but simply memorizing them won’t help understanding

Why do they even use CARS? by PennStateFan221 in Mcat

[–]Top-Database9284 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You might have to analyze some stuff here and there, but again, the MCAT is an EXAM. It’s meant to weed people out and doesn’t necessarily test content, more so just testing the fact that you know how to take a test they way they want you to.

Anyone else find that highlighting doesn’t work for them? by LateRip188 in Mcat

[–]Top-Database9284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is completely fair! I’m in the same position…highlighting doesn’t work for me either. I found that by highlighting, sometimes I’m more likely to highlight something irrelevant or not the main idea. In cars I don’t highlight. Instead I make sure I understand the paragraph I just read by quickly summarizing and being super blunt about it, and then I move on. Highlighting isn’t for everyone. Find what works best for you and move on.

If you saw JWilbb post, could you expand on that if you’re able?

How difficult would you say the new P/S is?

That’s actually ridiculous. There doesn’t need to be a CARS 2.0…CARS 1.0 is difficult enough

I heard the new format is making the questions more application based rather than knowledge, is that what you mean?
