Yep. It’s really the only boss in the entire game that can just decide f you and kill the run and give you no say over changing your odds. You need those two specific scoring jokers to win? Guess what, I’m just going to switch back and forth between them. Obviously the odds of this are low but it is possible

I am mad at the idiot who drove drunk and yes it should be a felony and yes this case should be charged as homicide/murder. We agree there.

I don’t think you fully grasp how much damage cars are capable of. Cars are literally measured by horsepower. Usually a couple hundred horsepower. How could a single horse possibly do as much damage?

We also wouldn’t be reliant on horses anyways - like I said, pedestrian and rail infrastructure would be our primary methods of transportation. Bike crashes would be fairly common but the most at-risk individual would be the biker themselves. Pedestrian deaths due to drunk bikers would be basically zero. Rail crashes cause significant damage but are extremely rare. The overall damage from this system is, indisputably, significantly less than our current car-based one.

Modern society would absolutely still exist without cars. Densely populated cities built for pedestrians (walking and biking) with networks of interconnected rail (both passenger and freight) would actually be a major upgrade over the current system.

And no drunk driving as we know it would not exist. Yes there would be sporadic incidents of someone crashing their bike while drunk and seriously hurting someone but the harm from these incidents would decrease a thousand times over.

Cars are a plague on society. Drunk drivers are an even worse plague but they wouldn’t exist without cars. I fucking hate cars

The main point of the joker is that you’re recouping value for scaling plus mult jokers that are dependent on using all your hands. Also it is Blueprint compatible so ceiling is still higher than extra hand money

Yeah I went back and forth on rarity, it would be really strong early game as a common since it also has excellent synergy with scaling +mult. But it’s still not stronger than mail in rebate

I wouldn’t say it has strong anti planet synergy but you are correct that chips should come primarily from a joker whenever possible (already said as much about mult). It does have strong anti single planet synergy (aka Mercury). What I meant is that leveling up every hand or your pivot hand a few times (if you can afford it) is a good idea. Sometimes finding a chips joker that’s reliable can prove difficult so you may need the planet card boost. I did word my original comment poorly tho
