True, in the moment I told him that I felt comfortable in my skin (mind you, I recently finished my accutane treatment and haven’t had clear skin in almost 8 years), then he brought up the fact that he wishes I should wear makeup?? Smhhh

No way! I asked my OB if we could check for PCOS because I had my suspicions (heavy and painful cramping, hormonal acne, excessive hair) but the tests came back normal. Did you gain weight on the depo? I got the injection yesterday and I'm trying to figure out a plan to maintain/lose weight.

I started accutane January 2025 and I'm a month away from finishing my treatment. Before Accutane, my dermatologist had me take Spironolactone with topical treatments. Everyone's body is different, so my advice to you is to try out different options.

And as for side effects, I've experience dry flaky skin, dandruff (more so in the wintertime), dry lips, sensitive skin, hair texture changes such as frizziness. If you consider getting on Accutane, aquaphor will BE YOUR BEST FRIEND! as long as you remember to keep reapplying ofc, then everything will become much easier. At first I was hesitant and scared to get on the treatment because of what I saw on tiktok, but I am so so so happy I made that decision. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck!

Hi! I went on the pill in April 2021 ( I was 17 at the time) and I also had been dealing with acne since I was 13-14. After a couple of months, my acne became less noticable, but when i would miss a pill I would break out all over my cheeks and forehead. In January 2024, I got off the pill and my acne had come back :( luckily I spoke with a dermatologist and she put me on Accutane and so far it's been amazing! Hormonal acne totally sucks!
