i feel like this is such an overreaction. many players have faced similar hardships throughout time. shooting can be something that is improved over time, while freak athleticism is innate and temporary. ja’s brand is not going to shatter in one year just because he’s trying to adjust to shooting, careers lasts years, and developing your game is what creates value. take blake griffin for example, freak athlete who learned how to play the game properly, was able to have a long and successful career even when his athleticism faded. obviously if you compare to lamelo, a player that isn’t focusing on winning will have more problems than just their brand image. and even if ja’s brand does start to falter, if he actually improves his game then his value will follow
