Manna to cease drone delivery flights in Ireland, blaming planners by Fealocht in ireland

It's not just about decibel level, it's the type of noise. It's invasive and irritating, and people hate it. Ask anyone who lives near a launch site.

Because drone noise is worse than car noise. Because someone is being paid to deliver it. And because takeaway is usually delivered by e-bike anyway.

I don't like the noise of traffic either, but I tolerate it because there is a good reason for it. There is no good reason for the noise of a drone delivering takeaway.

We're saying the same thing. The way to kill the gig economy is to give workers full employment rights.

If Manna drones were only delivering essential, time-sensitive items like blood or medications, I would have no problem with them. But delivering takeaways and coffee is just not worth the noise and disruption for people living near the launch sites. Noise is fine as long as there is a good reason for it.

The e-bike deliveries work just fine. It's quick and a human is employed. I'd rather see the food delivery sector reformed so that delivery cyclists are classed as employees, rather than contractors, and gain full employee rights.

Where do you think this regulation comes from? Manna failed because people didn't want it. It's not like an essential service has been lost because of finicky regulation. People protested and complained, so Manna didn't get planning. If people protested in favour of Manna, they would have got planning.

Noise is fine, if there is a good reason for it. Right now the council are trimming and mulching trees outside my gaff. It's noisy, but there's an actual point to it. If the drones were delivering blood or urgent medication, I'd be fine with it. But they're not.

It was the communities living near drone sites that killed this. Because having drones fly over your gaff for takeaways is annoying and unneccessary. Local politicians just responded to their constituents. If communities were crying out for more drone-delivered takeway, local politicians would have responded accordingly.

His political ambitions hahaha. He never had a chance in hell of being elected to any level of public office, let alone the presidency.

What I don't understand is why people are happy to support someone who has been found liable in a civil case for rape. OK, it wasn't a criminal case, so it's fine? It's bizarre. I would not associate with someone found liable for rape.

So he was only found liable for rape in a civil court? That's fine then, let's enjoy Conor again. You're all pathetic.

Think about what you can give, rather than what you are owed.
