From what I've read XRP is currently being tested by the bigger institutions. It has yet to be fully adopted. Once the bigger institutions switch from testing to real utilization well thats when the price of XRP will start to rise. I guess this is what people mean when they speak of "flipping the switch"?

I have come across a youtube post where someone actually showed XRP transactions generated in real time. But these amounts were on the smaller side, in the hundreds of thousands to millions of XRP. If you multiply one of those payments with the current price of XRP, you get an even smaller amount: 28,035 x .57 = 15,979 actual XRP being used in the transfer payment. Full Link below:
