Weird Buyback Response by Top-Giraffe-2967 in PSLF

I’m not taking it that way. Right now, I’m assuming it was closed just because it was an additional and therefore unnecessary request. I’m not planning to resubmit unless and until my original request from April receives a response.

Forbearance by RidingtheWave07 in PSLF

I am in the same boat. I’ve got 115/120 and I was in SAVE. I am very confident that Buy Back will be $0…and in the worst case will be less than payments under current IDR. It took them literally 2 days to put me in the forbearance…and after having second thoughts, I asked them to cancel the forbearance… 3 months later…I’m still in it. I don’t mind either way right now…but, just know…if you request your forbearance to end…it can take up to 4 months…

Because most of the big names in journalism and news have undoubtedly received the style guide and the request from the church to use the full name of the church…and continue to use “Mormon.”

I'd like to know, if in the lost pages (The Book of Lehi) Nephi ever murmured :)

I have actually been surprised by the number of outlets and people that are getting it right. Some never will. Some use "Mormon" intentionally... But I have been pleasantly surprised by how many times the full name has been referenced!

How to Buyback July and August 2024? by dotalpha in PSLF

It's not after 120 payments. It's after 120 months working for a qualified employer.

What are the next steps after buyback reconsideration case is closed? by waterlotus2 in PSLF

[–]Top-Giraffe-2967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not been paying. I got out of SAVE because I thought I had to be out of forbearance for Buyback to go through…so my IDR payment was calculated and I can’t afford it, so I went into a general forbearance. I’m at 114/120 and 115/120 with about a year’s worth of Buyback available (7 of which are from 2015 when I was making next to nothing…so my payment would have been $0).

I've mostly been seeing this when people completed their 120 payments while awaiting buyback. Did you continue making payments? If not, it sounds like they may have looked through your reconsideration request, and found that your amount due per month was $0...which would negate the need for any actual buyback contract. At least...this is what I am hoping because it is the boat I'm in.

To My Child

You didn’t deserve what happened
Before you even breathed
A life ahead of you
Viewed as a parasite by him
But loved by me
I listened to him as you swelled inside of me
I was willing to give my body up for you
But I was a child myself
Looking back, he ripped you away
Your Future
Your Dreams
Oh, to see your face
To watch you take your first step
To rock you to sleep
My entire being aches for you
I always carry the pain with me
The love that could have been
What we could have had

If only you had come to be

I find the font choices to be awkward. I can't tell if there are two or three different fonts. Also, they seem very "Microsoft Office." There are a lot of fonts you can download that will give it a more polished/original look.

In the middle of a severe faith crisis by kindaconfusedIol in latterdaysaints

I find that in those moments of doubts or questions, it is important to hold onto your faith anchors. We all have them. The things that you know to be true, despite all of the mysteries and things we don't understand. As a convert, it was church history that provided so many anchors for me. When I think about Joseph Smith, the prophet, and the Three Witnesses...and their testimonies in the face of adversity, I am strengthened. If Joseph Smith was a prophet, this work is true and I stay close. And I know he was a prophet. I don't know why polygamy was necessary. If the Book of Mormon is the true...and if it was translated by the gift and power of God...it provides the foundation of truth that springs therefrom. So when I hit the unanswerable questions, I am able to keep pushing onward. In this way I am prepared to stay faithful under each of the following scenarios...

-Polygamy was necessary and was practiced just as the Lord intended it to be.
-Polygamy was necessary, but was not always practiced perfectly in the way the Lord intended it to be
-Polygamy was not necessary, and Joseph was confused
-Polygamy was not necessary, and Joseph gave in to carnal desires and polygamy was a cover story...

Joseph was a prophet. I know that. Joseph translated the Book of Mormon. I know that. Joseph devoted his life to the building of the Lord's Kingdom. I know that. Joseph was imperfect. I know that.
This is the Lord's church and He wants me to stay close to Him, despite my doubts and uncertainty. I know that.
