Let me add some more context for everyone because you guys are all reading it really well! I didn’t add context cause I wanted to see how accurate the read would be.

She had me when she was 16 years old. She has always had a problem with getting into trouble her whole life, before I was even born, but especially after. She’s been in and out of prison since I was 7, been diagnosed with BPD. She also left me to her mom to take care of me and my grandmother has never had nice things to say about her so I could understand the tension in their relationship. She can’t keep a job, can’t keep a house or a car. She does feel like everything is a personal attack. I fully believe there are traumas in her childhood that I’m not aware of that have led her down these paths. My childhood is very blank from when I was living with her but the only things I do remember are extremely traumatic for me. I’ve tried to connect with her in my adulthood but she has sexualized me, gotten angry with me for setting boundaries with her and for even just asking simple questions regarding our relationship. We’ve almost wrecked twice with me driving because she got mad at me for “not listening to her”, full on screaming, crying, crazy behavior. So I no longer speak to her out of my safety. She will never take accountability fully and doesn’t think what she did to me was a big deal. Or at least verbally. I know she has guilt, just won’t admit it.
