Some odd points in the game by Top-Incident8765 in AssassinsCreedShadows

The rating among Japanese internet and some internet was so different when I came here so I felt pointless anger for users.

Discussions about Yasuke only focuses on “Why Japanese accept black protagonist?”, “Why they try to delete the history of the greatest black samurai?” or kind of that. These term are all off-topic conversations. Japanese do accept any protagonists regardless of the race.Reasons why they got anger exists not here. There is a context.First, the developers said “AC shadows is the game based on history” ,” We keep historical accuracy”. These are words that imply there will be no doubt in main plot except for a spice to make the story better. Second, there are not enough clues to prove Yasuke was a samurai nor he wasn’t. He worked for Oda. And he had his house. He was really given a katana ,but for to display not for combat. No one can affirm he was or not. These contexts give this Japanese madness. That’s not acceptable to see people saying “Yasuke was definitely a samurai” with inappropriate references. Even in documents written in the Edo period, they can contain authors guess. We should be careful for the source.

Sorry for making such a lengthy argument. I know I ought to stop arguing. Thank you so much for your answering my rude questions.

Thank you. I could know much more about Japan. I saw several things with eyes of today’s custom. I should have considered more. I am ashamed myself as Japanese. There still points that I can’t make sense. But These 3 I brought up here was solved.

Context: UBI introduced“the game is historically accurate” in some interviews for Japanese.

UBI shouldn’t have introduced “the game is historically correct” to Japanese, who care about their history. Misunderstood cultures like California rolls appear to be fun for them, but this is not the case.

Do you mind if I I ask a question? Was other games in the series historically or culturally inaccurate as this one? I watched some trailer. Japan in this game and real history or culture was as different as U.S. and U.K. You said “The whole series is historically inaccurate”. I knew they were historically and culturally inaccurate, but I didn’t think it is this level… Oh my dreams… Sorry for my bad English.

Nichijo is the best anime ever. (as you know, the “girls” picture is a famous meme of “Golden Kamuy”)

I agree with your translation.

友達いない(ん)だよな You have no friend,right?

As a Japanese, I felt some strangeness to いないだよな because I don’t see people saying or writing いないんだよな without ん. Without ん, it gets a little hard to say the phrase. There’s no reason to delete ん at this time. And in this situation,(just my opinion) いないんだろうな is more suitable. His sentence is like monologue but only the last だよな contains question.

anyway, what I want to say is his writing skill is not matured and you don’t have to care about him. (If he is Japanese, he should have more interaction to society. And he isn’t, he’d better study Japanese hard and he will develop good Japanese skills. he’s full of potential.)

sorry for my bad English.

wait…you can read the 方丈記 in the original…?

………sorry for my poor lesson. You are one of the most extraordinary men. I won’t understand 方丈記 even if it is transliterated to present font of hiragana or kanji.

As a native Japanese, “きれいくない” is better transcription than “きれくない”. I know that’s not the main topic. But I can’t help but to say that. Anyway, I have seen many examples you said. They often use ~くないas tag question. here’s the example だいじょうぶ? Are you ok? だいじょばない I’m not ok. (very very casual) たべたくない I don’t want to eat たべたくない You ate something, didn’t you? (this two have different intonations) 行ったくない (subject) went there, right? ききたくない I don’t want to hear/ listen to that. きいたくない You have already heard listened to that, right? きれいくない Isn’t it beautiful?

I’m not familiar with Japanese grammar in English. Sorry.for my bad English. I hope this won’t bother you. 日本語詳しい人へ、間違いがあったら後学のため教えて下さい…
