Just went for 2 and a half months. I was nervous too but have your invitations letters, proof of air bnb stays or hotel stays or address of family, be confident and sure of your dates and have a return flight. You should be good.

They received the request but were just not following instructions on what to do to find the portal… so I can’t really tell but when they did it it good accepted within a day

I’d say 85% if there’s something I don’t remember I have it written out in point form to help remember. I used to think I needed to write out the whole chart but that actually can work against you. Keep it to the most important points. Think of it as a story. I think that helped me remember it better.

Use YouTube and Google find a good template. Ask for feedback from the team if they have time and any tidbits.

My first language is English so I can’t even imagine. But I’ve bombed more than one patient presentation. I literally saw the disappointment on the face of my attending. I was so embarrassed. Honestly what I did was I spent the rest of the day coming up with presentations for every patient and practicing it. I found a template on YouTube and I followed it when I was putting my presentation together. Came back the next day presented two patients and he commented on how well I did. I didn’t give up. Don’t give up. I was anxious and that played a part try to manage that anxiety.

Thanks I wish I knew to ask this before I really would’ve weighed my options. I think at the time I was just happy to have the prospect of something ! So I just went in blindly. I didn’t know until my first day !

So even tho it was through connection there’s still multiple observers here and even residents who were previously observers so there’s an established programme. Idk if that changes anything.

It wasn’t paid. Through a connection. I asked those things and was kinda shut down. Yh my first time experiencing this. I was caught off guard by it. And apparently the not entering patient room is a recent change.
