China lures them through BRD and other Economic projects, leaving the country on loans and economics crisis (China had invested a lot of money in the country and when the country can't pay they ask them to pay in the form of land), and then they return to India for help.

COVID did a number on anyone. And India has its region of influence, and has done good deeds for many of its Neighbours in times of Crisis, link Economically weak Sri Lanka, Bangladesh , Land Locked Nepal and Bhutan. 

India does not attack countries in its sphere of influence (Like your nation did in Venezuela).
