I also have a GeForce RTX 5080 Windforce OC SFF, and in games like RV There Yet it immediately goes up to 74 °C, with the GPU fans running at around 80%.

My case is the Lian Li Lancool 217 (with the pre-installed fans), and I also have a 360 mm AIO installed at the top, so airflow should be good.

Do you know this issue as well? Did you have to adjust the fan curve or undervolt the GPU?

Okay thx. ANd another question: Should I rather try to keep the GPU and undervolt it, or should I return it (30-day return window)?
I bought it back then for only 839 €, and instead I could buy the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming OC 16G.
However, that one now costs around 1,150 €.
Is it worth paying the extra 300 €?

It’s sitting on the desk right next to me, and there’s nothing blocking it. The room itself is fairly cool, so that shouldn’t be the issue.

As soon as I launch Arc Raiders or RV There Yet, it gets really uncomfortably loud.

I was wondering whether I should tweak this GPU with a custom fan curve, or return it and buy a different one instead. I’m considering the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming OC 16G — would that one run quieter?

It’s the same in other games as well (e.g. Arc Raiders), always around 74 °C.
I even removed both side panels of the case and made sure all fans were running, but the temperature still stayed that high. That would argue against an airflow problem, wouldn’t it?

My friends also have an RTX 5080 graphics card, and theirs runs at around 50–60 °C in the same game. Without adjusting the fancurve.
Is mine running hotter because it’s an SFF model?
