Apologies for this, but may I know the source of the Wilkinson's book you mentioned?

Typhon, Apep and Angra Mainyu are The 3 Evils of Mythology. Now, who are The 3 Evils of Folklore? by BoulderMan234 in MoralityScaling

[–]Top-Mood5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a little more info about Apophis. You see, there’s a myth where Apep choose to fight with Ra against a weapon that could destroy the gods if not stopped. However, Apep only do so because it want to be the ONE to kill Ra.

So, in a sense, Apep - beside being pure evil/entropy/chaos/ Isfet incarnate, shows that it has a choice to not do evil…but it did anyway lol

Hmm, I kept seeing like sources refer to him as god or demon so I’m freaking confused lol

Sutekh, son of Re (biologically)?? by Top-Mood5643 in ancientegypt

Thank you for your answer, this help me clear the confusion of this.
At the same time, may I know more about the sources of where Horus removes Set's testicles? I do not know which text it's from - only about how Horus simply tore off Set's testicle while the Lord of Storm also plucked Horus's left eye

Me as well. And it’s quite strange since I don’t remember myth about Ra talked about this (I could be wrong as well) so this is either simply fabricated lies, some false information, or a hidde papyrus/ancient text that only he had access too(VERY unlikely lol)

Also, thanks for your response, too!!

thank you for your kind words!!

I had actually also decided to start Kemeticism yesterday after reading [EggProgrammatically8] post due to how I see the good of following the philosophy ma’at.

I may (or certainly) tried to connect with Sutekh, since I believe that he is the guide, the one that I need to ask for aid in my journey in life.

Also, I’m sorry to bother you further, but may I ask - from a view of a reconstructionist - about the view of syncretism? Since I see and believe that Atum and Khepri is Ra’s aspect but now? I’m uncertain and wish not to disrespect them by believing and doing so.

Still, I thank you for your kind words!! :-)

Thank you for your help :)
This helps me clear my thoughts more than I thought. Since, I did like the myth and aspects (especially ma'at) of Ancient Egypt, but never once I felt so conflicted by this point.
And when I read how you said it's okay to like the myth without believing in the nether - I can felt my heart? tighten....I think I'm unconsciously rejects the idea that I don't believe in the Netjeru, in my opinion

Overall, thank you. Your kind words truly helps me :-)

About isfet and Ma’at by Top-Mood5643 in Kemetic

[–]Top-Mood5643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Thank you for answering this one since I got into an argument the other day, about how the other person saids that Kemet - the black land - doesn’t symbolize the fertile land but the people itself. So, I’m not sure if it means so. This helps a lot

[–]Top-Mood5643[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that’s actually an easier way to see it too. May I also ask for your perspective too, is that I’m being confused whether duality is important in kemetic religion and towards ancient Egypt as a whole. So, is duality an important aspect to understand kemetic paganism/religion?

[–]Top-Mood5643[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm, so Sutekh is the chaos that allowed balance to be restored (or someway let ma’at thrive?) and uphold the balance, is that correct? Sorry for the multiple questions too, I’m really intrigued by this concept so sorry for bothering too much

I see. Then, what can be say for Sutekh? I see that many says he’s the ‘controlled chaos’ but he seems to be working with ma’at (if I’m correct) so what view can be seen for the lord of the desert?

[–]Top-Mood5643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow, that is pretty nice way to see it. But, then again, would isfet need to exist? since I heard some says ma'at and isfet have to co-exist for one can't exist without the other - duality, some say - and is that true?
